I have been working at Nordstrom Rack full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive pay, encouraging managers, promote from within, a lot of growth opportunities. Very accommodating to schedules (sometimes a little too accommodating - they give people a LOT of second chances. And third chances.) If you want to get promoted, management will do all in their power to get you there.

    Cons

not a lot of growth opportunities for support employees. corporate offices are in Seattle so if you want to go into an HQ positions you better be ready to relocate.

I worked at Nordstrom Rack part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I loved the hourly rate here vs regular Nordstrom commission based. I had a very good manager who worked with my school schedule. Even being in school I still made enough to pay my bills. Time flies working here because your always doing something. Overall good experience.

    Cons

Very overwhelming at times. Managers want you to clean, ring up customers on mobile devices and sometimes call stores for customer orders, and open nordstrom cards. It's very unorganized at times. Customers will see you cleaning and still throw clothes on the rounders or floor.
