    Pros

Different approach to training employees. They instill a sense of pride in people and do not make them feel subservient.

Current Employee - Maintenance in Seattle, WA

I have been working at Nordstrom

    Pros

The hours are flexible hours (within reason) as long as you understand this is retail and you do need to be flexible to support the business. Managment can be hit or miss but the bad ones don't tend to stick around very long. On the support side of the company there is little interaction with the customers. But, what the support employees do has a direct impact on the stores overall sales and Preformance. Every day at work is different so there's no rut to fall into

    Cons

Maintenance employees can be called at any hour of the day or noght if there's an emergency at the store. Some days are better than others (but that comes with any job)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication about upcoming changes
