Only a few are doing well.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Nordyne full-time for more than 5 years

ProsSee other reviews. This is a follow up.

ConsDepressing to watch the Nortek corporate bigwigs making millions while we in the trenches are getting further and further behind. We are not even keeping up with the cost of living, but the directors keep cashing in the stocks that they keep giving themselves at zero cost.

The mangement was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Dyersburg, TN

I worked at Nordyne full-time for more than a year

ProsThe only good thing about working there was the learning experience i got from working there. I learned a lot about shipping and recieving.

ConsThe bad part about this company was the mangement. They were not concerned about job performance they are only concerned about how much you are liked by mangement.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep the people that are making you your money!!!

A Place for Growth . . . NOT!

Employee (Current Employee)
O'Fallon, MO

I have been working at Nordyne full-time for more than 3 years

ProsAbility to work as many hours that you can handle. Some salaried employees are expected to work 35, some have the demand to work 50+.

ConsDon't even think about getting promoted, it's an inbred society there. They just keep promoting the manager and make up some ridiculous titles for them. What company has a director for 2 employees??

Advice to Senior ManagementGive up and sell the place already,

Time to move on?

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
O'Fallon, MO

I have been working at Nordyne full-time for more than 5 years

ProsLots of great co-workers. Always challenging (in a good way). As much responsibility as you want. Because of high turnover, my status of a long timer with experience increases quickly.

ConsBenefits keep getting crappier every year. Have had no raises, bonuses or even a cost of living increase in years. Business is tied to new housing starts (a lagging economic indicator). Very high turn over in the last year. Expect it to get worse.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a look around. There's a reason that your highly talented, skilled and experienced people are leaving. You better fix it!

Good Pay. Long Hours

Package Handler (Former Employee)

I worked at Nordyne

ProsGood Pay; People nice to work with; task were not easy but were not hard either; get 3 days off at times you work alot.

ConsLong hours; odd shifts; felt like you were a robot all day doing the same job for 12 hours straight; standing all day

Advice to Senior ManagementMake the day be a 8 hour shift, not 12 hours with 2--ten minute breaks and a measly 30-minute lunch.
