    I worked at North

    Pros

The pay is great for being a server, the food is something to be proud to serve. The working in the domain is fun for the most part.

    Cons

parking, long hours, training can be a bit much, but if you pay attention its very manageable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what your doing, but notice the employees that do well more often

    I worked at North

    Pros

Good pay, it is the place to be for the most part
Good training program that helps in future restaurant jobs

    Cons

    Corporate structure is very disconnected
Middle and upper management are lost
The food is not great, people just come for the atmosphere

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of you should quit and let the hard working general managers take you places. They actually know how to speak to people...

I have been working at North

    Pros

    - very interesting technical work
    - you can move around if you aren't happy with your current job/manager
    - you can transfer to a lot of other locations, even internationally
    - education reimbursement

    Cons

    - just as many bad managers as elsewhere
    - winters in Chicago
    - very strange chain of command
    - management tends to have no clue what the 'grass roots' are concerned about
    - Sector HQ (Baltimore) has a stranglehold on Rolling Meadows - we're treated as a cash cow and otherwise ignored

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - people will leave a bad manager and work elsewhere - we don't leave COMPANIES, we leave managers
