I have been working at North Shore LIJ Health System full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Only reason is that they have jobs and have many locations across Long Island. Good if you want to work part time.

    Cons

No raises in most years, very top heavy on managers and too light on support staff. Lower level staff gets stuck with patient complaints while managers hide in their offices. Very little office staff for clinicians. Benefits only cover doctors in their system so you will have to change your doctor if they work for another system or if you want to go to a specialty hospital for surgery or cancer treatment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

100% turnover of top level managers who are indifferent to staff and hate patients is needed.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
