    Pros

Salaries are pretty good. This is really the only place to work for medical technology trained living in the area.

    Cons

Management changes have seriously decreased the ability of all staff to perform their jobs at the high levels they set for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the staff and what they are saying. Often medical staff just keep working even when they are overworked and unhappy . They, by nature, " just do it" because the work needs to be done. You don't go into the field of medicine because you want to get rich, but because you care. Thus you can be pushed beyond what should be normal work expectations and performances. Becomes a patient safety issue.

I have been working at Northern Arizona Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Senior leadership and middle management are making great efforts in communicating with all employees. Many recent changes in healthcare have led to many changes in healthcare organizations. NAH is being proactive in these drastically changing environments. Love the small town atmosphere and friendly co-workers. Coming from a big city (Phoenix) it is a nice change. After living in Flagstaff for almost 3 years now, it really feels like home.

    Cons

Not any glaring cons to working here. Have had a great experience.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work with communicating future ideas, and communicating vision to all employees. There has been a lot of change and a lot of questions from fellow co-workers and some skepticism, but it is becoming very noticeable that positive changes are happening at all levels of the organization, with the most important being focused on patient care.

Hostile work environment; suffered harassment, intimidation and isolation due to extensive experience in the field.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Excellent neurologists, latest technological wireless equipment, even though coworker and clinical manager didn't know how to utilize it properly or troubleshoot setting issues. They did not work with Biomed or IT when equipment was initially purchased to ensure adequate tracing results.

    Cons

Current employee and manager are classic bullies; existing coworker was threatened with her job and told I would be arrested if I came onto campus.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes, this situation is ridiculous; billing errors; safety issues and unprofessional conduct is occurring on a daily basis.

I worked at Northern Arizona Healthcare full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Employees are awesome! Hospital is pretty. Late for the Train coffee on site. Most docs are amazing who come here.

    Cons

I have never seen so many people get fired and escorted out by security!!! Serious PTSD working here. It's sad because Flagstaff is such a cool town

    Advice to Management

    Stop ruling like a tyranny

    Too many politics here

I worked at Northern Arizona Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The front line colleagues are hard working and sincerely believe in the organization's mission of patient and family-centered care.

    Cons

Leadership (some managers and directors up to vice presidents) is poor. They believe in the caste system of society. Do not speak or do anything outside of your "class." Waste money for pet projects/pet departments. Throw anyone under the bus to save yourself. Lay off employees in the name of saving money, and turn around to hire more managers. If you are not in a clique, keep your head down, or you will be a target!

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to colleagues when they bring forth concerns. If you tell colleagues that a survey is confidential, honor that.
