    Pros

Liked working with the client, especially on new projects. Many of the folks on the team had been at client for a while.

    Cons

Many of the team members felt more attached to the client, than to Northrop.

    Pros

Great people and benefits, flexible work schedule (as long as the client is satisfied), good salary. Managers sincerely care about your personal and professional growth.

    Cons

It's easy to become disconnected if you don't take the time to get involved in the employee groups and other happenings at NG.

    Pros

Lot of freedom to be the best consultant you can be in the government environment. Contractors are with clients a lot and tend to emulate that environment. Northrop recognizes hard work and talent and works to utilize that to the best of the emplyee, NG, and clients perspective. Excellent training.

    Cons

Disconnected feel from the company at times. Hard to maintain work life balance. Company is at the clients whim with some positions and is limited in both good times and bad on influence.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should be more in touch with clients.

    Pros

Good People. Great Pay. Great Benefits. Loyal. Exciting work and opportunities. Great to work for a company that has so many fields of work all over the world. Diversity and Employee Resource Groups.

    Cons

Gov't contracting, hard to know when your work will disappear or be awarded to another contractor. Management sometimes loses touch with employees. Employees that work onsite with customer don't always "feel connected" with the company.

    Advice to Management

If it doesn't work, get rid of it.
Upper managers should audit middle management, find out how employees feel about their managers.
Remember the little people that do the work, make them feel appreciated and they'll go the extra mile for you.

    Pros

Great flexibility with work schedule / work day.

    Cons

NO PENSION IF YOU ARE ON THE CDC CONTRACT. All others in the company are offered a pension.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and offer the same benefits to all employees!
I was told in my offer that I would be getting a pension, just to find out on my first day that b/c I work on a CDC assignment I can not rightfully claim the same benefits as the rest of the NG employees.
