Pros
Working in aerospace can be a great experience when government funding is available. The benefits packages are usually some of the best and often included pension plans.
Cons
Unfortunately, those heydays are gone. Government funding is scarce and layoffs are aplenty. The pensions have been discontinued for new employees.
Pros
Its great rewarding work. The products we work on are something to be very proud of;. the company is always leading in innovation. Great Future in the Company as a whole. Its future is bright except for some declining programs because of the lack of government funds. Ok pay, great benefits and excellent place to gain experience.
Cons
Once in company favoritism seems to arise depending on dept management. It used to do more employee appreciation. Everyone knows each other everyone talks to each other. Rumors spread pretty fast.
Advice to Senior Management
Dont be so apprehensive on letting young knowledge get ahead in the ladder. Afterall someone Good has to fill in your shoes. Dont just promote based on whats best for individual interest instead, by what's good for the company and future goals.

Pros
The people seemed easy to work with and get along with. After a period of time, It seemed that I was part of the organizational family.
Cons
After expending time and money in finding employees, I was only able to obtain contracts with them for 4-5 months, after which time, NGIT wanted to have them convert to their employment. I felt like I was used as a headhunter and I lost some talented employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Allow contractors to have at least one additional employee for at least one year if possible.

Try to make time at least once a week to speak with your subordinates and make sure everything is going well with them. Managers did this, but directors not as much.
