    Negative Outlook

    Pros

No charge for parking. Cafeteria pizza is good. Easy access to the credit union.

    Cons

Managers in charge of clinical departments, have no background in the clinical aspects of healthcare. It makes conveying issues and problems to them very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Get out of your offices more and interact with your staff. You would be surprised how much respect that would give you.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Many opportunities for growth and experiences for new nurses as well as seasoned.

    Cons

Need to know how to play the usual job politics which is not necessarily a con but a realistic fact.

    Advice to Management

Doing the best they can under the universally changing, demanding, competitivie, for-profit business climate of the health care industry today.

I worked at Northwest Hospital Center full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

competitive salary, enthusiastic management team, worthy goals. Plenty of time off and vacation. Holidays are celebrated and employees receive training and education when they need it. Benefits like vacation time are very good. Nice location and free parking for employees.

    Cons

There are no cons at this company. Jobs are clearly defined and feedback is current and relevant. You have to work holidays, but that is something you deal with in the healthcare field.

I worked at Northwest Hospital Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This place is crazy the people and not friendly at all. They are very unhappy. They pick on new hirers, to show that they do not want them there.

    Cons

The management sucks. They do not know how to cook or mange. They put cold food on the steamtables to heat up without warming it up first.

  8. Helpful (1)

They really don't care about their employees. Human Resources are not in favor of the employees at all. Need a union.

    Pros

Small hospital setting. Staff is friendly. There are a few managers that are concerned about the employees. If employees are satisfied then the overall morale of the hospital does well.

    Cons

Management does not treat employees fairly. They are all for themselves. No compassion for anyone. Human resources will not help in finding a solution between employees and Managment. They will fire you as quick as they hire you.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees fairly. They do not follow the correct action plans of performance improvement plans that are put in effect for staff.
