    Pros

Great therapists, and a large, clean facility capable of handling multiple patients at a time. Several locations in Northeast Ohio.

    Cons

No support from management when requested. No communication from HR representative for this area, who is located out of state. Management tells new hires they are always available to help, then won't reply to calls or emails for days, if at all. They only care about getting the numbers up. Blatant favoritism among center managers and PSS's. So much focus on increasing daily visits and reschedule rates that actual concerns are swept under the rug.

Also, upper management for this region is a husband/wife team, and one area manager has several family members employed with this region. One of these has been fired and rehired several times.

Regulations and policies seem to change on a weekly basis without adequate explanation. New tasks and responsibilities are consistently added to job description, yet pay doesn't reflect changes. Turnover in this position is high, and training is very much lacking. I felt unprepared for many tasks that I hadn't been trained for. Because the turnover rate is so high, current employees are sometimes denied PTO because of lack of coverage for centers.

Not much room for advancement in most positions. Advancements seem to come out of need for employees to cover turnover rates.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. You'd be shocked how many have plans to leave after contracts or school are over. Your turnover rate directly reflects your employee experience and workplace culture. Think about your patients, not just the numbers. And quit with the favoritism/nepotism. Listen to employee suggestions. Pay adequate wages to patient service specialists.

    Pros

I enjoyed working with my coworkers in the individual clinics.

    Cons

Management is inconsiderate and not supportive. Management functions day by day making the rules up as they go along. The company policy very clearly states that family may not work together. The Northeast Ohio territory has managed to completely ignore that policy and has siblings and spouses working together. The top priority is not patient care but the amount of money that each clinic makes. At first I thought it might be the business of physical therapy but it is not. It is the practices of this company that are bad.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees about all aspects of their job not just how to "get the numbers up". Support your employees when help from management is needed. Be willing to perform any and all duties that you ask of your employees. Do not lie to your staff. Function as a moral group of people.

    Pros

There are many learning opportunities. Unfortunately, you have to sacrifice family in order for this company to love you.

    Cons

They expect work first, family last. No room for growth. I worked there for 3 years and never had a raise.

    Pros

Good exercise running around treating 2-3 patients/hour. See a large volume of patients - all at the same time.

    Cons

Poor patient continuity, When trying to juggle 2-3 patients an hour, it gets difficult to provide manual therapies to your patients. The bottom line is the Only thing that matters. Local upper management is husband/wife team. No documentation time is provided.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees. Care about patients. There s more to healthcare than a budget.

    Pros

Support evidence-based practice, good in house educational opportunities, positive work enviorment for new graduates and seasoned clinicians.

    Cons

Challenging to get one-on-one time with some patients. Built off old Health South model of maximizing productivity at minimal costs.

    Advice to Management

Hire more PRN staff to cover when staff is out sick or on vacation. Too many pt's have been absorbed on schedules reducing quality of care.
