    Pros

Benefits were decent, helping others, chose your own schedule, 12 hour work days, meeting new people, working with great hard working employees.

    Cons

Micromanagement. Policy changed frequently no one was on the same page. Corporate greed at its worst. Productivity was no one over actually caring. Ruthless treatment of employees by management. Constant criticism and write-ups which diminishes employee morale. Working dangerously short on units creating added stress and room for mistakes.

    Advice to Management

Show interest in your workers. Allow for flexibility. Instead of focusing on productivity as paramount focus on the people behind it.

    Pros

if it was not for my co-workers would have left long ago, commute not bad.

    Cons

over worked, under staffing, doing same amount of work with half the crew. for every 2 F/T employees we loose, they higher 1 PRN. low pay, no chance of raise, forget about advancement or cross training in another modality. get written up if you go into over time. benefits have been slashed after the take over. (healthcare, accrued PTO etc). call back is almost non-existent

    Advice to Management

trying to run a Northern Va. hospital with the pay of NC, good luck trying to retain quality employees.

    Pros

Convenient to where I live. Some good people work there, they just never get promoted to management. They reserve that for those without souls.

    Cons

They do not appreciate their staff. The staff are treated like robots that are supposed to de happy to get abused for no compensation whatsoever. No compensation for nurses who work holidays. $2/ hr for mandatory call time. They recently cut the CNA and secretaries pay 10% across the board while admins get bonuses in the millions.

    Advice to Management

They will eventually realize that, though there aren't many other health systems in the area to compete against, if you treat your employees badly enough they will find a way out.

    Pros

Our patients are typically very appreciative which is nice since healthcare is usually a thankless job. Self scheduling is great.

    Cons

Physicians and nurses are stretched to the max. Physicians are expected to care for too many patients and nurses are also. They do their best but they can only do so much. Low pay, no incentive.

    Advice to Management

Job satisfaction needs to be paid more attention to.

    Pros

    Retirement match in 3 years.
    Small bonus yearly.
Spends on improvement to facilities and bigger better building.
    Big on patient care

    Cons

    No employees appreciation.
Very understaffed and do not replace a fulltime employee who quite so the rest of the staff has to pick up the slack.
One of the lowest pay rate in the area.
Benefits have been slashed from the former employer with no explanation (healthcare, accrued PDO etc).
Managers and long time employees laid off with 5 mins warning, literally, without any option for transfer, NOT KIDDING.
    Lots of unhappy employees
    Cheap on supplies.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees, staff adequately, listen to your employees concerns an d not be so much of " a do as I say employer ". The market will get better and you may lose valuable employees who work very hard and another employer might just offer that employee better compensation for their hard work and dedication, because it seems as that doesn't matter to you as the managers will say repeatedly be grateful you have a job.

    Pros

OKAY insurance aND benefits. Good amount of pto. A lot of overtime if you want it. Okay pay.

    Cons

Managers gossip about all the employees, put more work on the good workers and let slackers get away with it, favoritism, managers hiring their friends, no compassion, picking on workers about small things.

    Advice to Management

Worry more about making your lazy incompetent workers actually do something instead of harassing the good employees.
