Pros
Good salary if one can negotiate well
Learning opportunity if one can find time

Very Poor management
Far away from reality
Everyone is trying to move upwards by hook or by crook
Too much politics
No respect for skilled professionals
Performance or merit does not matter in promotion, it is more based on Management's liking of a particular person
Pros

Advice to Senior Management
Depends there are some good managers but others are roude.
Pros
Stylish, European organisation. The company pays attention to detail whether it is science, regulatory, PR or employee satisfaction. Social in an American scale.
Cons
Lack of uniform standards in operation. One has to learn how to interact with individual departments. Supervisors often create stressful microenvironment and associates have little protection but seeking other jobs. Very male heavy management.
Advice to Senior Management
The won't listen. Joe Jimenez is only recently took over leadership and too soon to tell. He may be too American (blunt and profit centric) for a European (more socially committed workplace) company.
Pros
Resourceful for self-developemnt on career
Cons
Silo across divisions and less talent exchange among diviions
Advice to Senior Management
Diversity Mission Seems Not Work for Asian Talent
Pros
Reasonable benefits, pay, flex time and great compounds
Cons
Work load is too much, internal politics and slow personal growth
Pros
Good pay, benefits, resources, reputation.
Cons
Too many chefs sometimes nearly spoiling the soup, then the kitchen staff has to come to the rescue. Our group delivered way above expectations and was promised great things in return and then essentially dismantled with no warning.
Advice to Senior Management
Please think long term. Money market pressure for continuous short term growth is a major underlying factor for the current global economic troubles. Don't give in to it.
Pros
Good benefits and salary. Enjoyed my fellow co-workers.
Cons
No advancement opportunities. Layoffs every year.
Pros
Flexibility. Good Money. Company Car. Driven Sales Force. Great Reputation with Dr. Community, Great Products.
Cons
Micromanagement with "GPS" type computer system for recording calls. Very time consuming expense reports and on going product testing. Disconnect between HQ in NJ and a suffering economy in Detroit in relation to goal setting and realistic metrics.
Advice to Senior Management
Admit that mail order, generics and the sluggish economy has impacted how Dr.'s can wirte RX and adjust goals so more people can make quota.
Pros
Well known name in the industry
Benefits were great
Great people
My management had a strong understanding of the industry and how to attack it.
Cons
The pipe line seemed to be geared only a very saturated hypertension market.
Forced to hit irrelevant metrics that were not always applicable to every territory.
Advice to Senior Management
Pipeline is geared towards a saturated market
Pros
salary, benefits, car- and building relationships.
Cons
Poor leadership and unrealistic goals.
Advice to Senior Management
Shoot for quality not quantity. Not transparent AT ALL.
