Advice to Senior Management
Most of the process are managed very well
Pros
Solid company that has an outstanding pipeline and treats people with respect. Overall culture is good and not toxic like other big pharma companies.
Cons
Lack of Senior leaderships knowledge in Oncology has created a large gap in productivity and direction for the Oncology business Unit
Advice to Senior Management
Stop making decisions on the direction of the business unit based on your past (primary care) experiance. Don't make decisions in a vacum, include the field based leadership to provide insights that could reduce negative situations.
Pros
Financially well managed and weathering the patent cliff better than most. Novartis has also avoided large layoffs in their scientific areas.
Cons
Not enough organic promotions for senior management. Novartis should give opportunities to mid level managers to be promoted to higher position.
Advice to Senior Management
Give preference to internal candidates when looking to fill a position. If internal candidates are could potentially be qualified but lack experience they should still be considered in the succession planning based on performance and development potential.
Pros
beneifts, people, salary, work life balance
Cons
too many changes and too many people doing the same job
Advice to Senior Management
staop with all of the presentations
Pros
intellectually challenging work, collaborative environment
Cons
work load sometimes can be a bit more than other firms as far as i know
Pros
Stable company. Good products. Good people to work with. Good salary, medical insurance and other benefits. Yearly bonus for office staff. Acceptable office.
Cons
Very bad IT situation. Strange software. Too much outsourcing. Very slow and unusual decisions. Too much bureaucracy.
Too much outsourcing. Yes, I sad it twice.
Advice to Senior Management
I can offer only advice about IT. Key software should be developed in the company. "We are not an IT company" - is myth. This opinion is good only for outsourcing companies. More outsourcing you have - less flexible you are.
Pros
pipeline is promising, employees work hard.
Cons
upper management is impacting the employee morale in a negative way
Advice to Senior Management
Please be more kind and respectful to the employees-
Pros
The when I was working there was very good. The products were above average. The training was hard but comprehensive. The compensation package was excellent.
Cons
I had a District Manager that had never sold anything in his life. He was from the East Coast and did not know anything about how Mid Western people interact. Very difficult to do a drive with.
Advice to Senior Management
Accurate feedback to associates. Giving representatives positive and negative suggestions if needed. But, for the betterment of the company. More one on one training.
