Pros
They used to give the sales reps a lot of freedom
Cons
It was too big and too many downsizes
Advice to Senior Management
Keep you word.
Pros
nice people in general, good pipeline, company holiday between Christmas and New Year, company stock
Cons
for 2012-2015 due to company flat growth, development opportunity limited
Pros
Great benefits. Some smart coworkers. Pay is above average. The 401k match is excellent. Great to have a company car.
Cons
Management now treats all the employees like they are a number and no longer a person. It used to be a much warmer company. The company cars are now 4 cylinder compacts that can hardly get out of their own way. There is a stunning lack of information from senior management. They badly bungled the launch of the last few products and the pod system has resulted in too little accountability.
Advice to Senior Management
There is a stunning lack of information from senior management. They badly bungled the launch of the last few products and the pod system has resulted in too little accountability. Layoffs are now an annual event.
Pros
The salary and benefits are very good which makes it hard to leave. I have enjoyed the territory I have had over the past several years.
Cons
When I came here they were calling themselves a launch machine. During my career they have been unable to bring many products to market.
Advice to Senior Management
Please take a look at your brand teams and those that submit products for approval. Do not sacrifice experience and ability in these areas.
Pros
Good benefits and on-campus facilities
Cons
Too many layers that aren't always needed.
Pros
Very diverse company culturally. Flexibility for working parents who need to become part time employees.
Cons
Nepotisim, stingy with raises, constantly changing targets.
Advice to Senior Management
transparency, very low rating on surveys from sales reps.
Pros
Strong products and good company ethics made it a good company to work for.
Cons
Bad industry and outdated business model.
Pros
Great administrative systems
Helpful and knowledgeable coworkers
Fun place to work
Salary is decent
Cons
Very difficult to get perm administrative assistant position
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Overall, I have experienced great management personally. The company and the position has provided me a great work life balance. They have also provided tuition reimbursement so that I could pursue a graduate education. The sales training was thorough and continues to improve with new sales models. The compensation has been fair in terms of salary, though bonuses have declined over the last several years.
Cons
The company does not provide enough pathways for development. It was heavily focused on FLM development but does not provide enough alternatives for other areas or opportunities to do rotations. Though I have personally experienced good management I have seen more than my share of incompetent management in other territories.
Advice to Senior Management
The company tends to give a lot of lip service to "employee engagement." I would like to see a greater emphasis placed on seeking out employees that not only bring in the company defined "goals" but also exhibit leadership and competency. These employees should be identified early on and given special projects, rotations, etc, to gain exposure to Sr. management.
Pros
Big pharma name may look good on your CV
Cons
Very disorganised
Slow to respond to the changes
Advice to Senior Management
Employ people who actually have knowledge of the industry and regulatory environment.
