I have been working at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Danish company with European benefits, high profit margin, and a meaningful mission

    Cons

Danish company where you can only advance so far, and the company culture does not reward taking risks and being ambitious. If you set high goals and fail to deliver, then you are a failure, regardless of how much better than everyone else you are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a real vision for the company, and be consistent with direction.

    Pros

Independent, with wonderful support team in place from the company. Able to provide great products. To offices and be recognized as the leader in diabetes care

    Cons

With all the wonderful products and services the diabetes market is saturated and more companies are coming out with other therapeutical products .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just continue to bud the pipeline of products for patients to have more choices to manage there diabetes.

    Pros

Great management, very committed to helping their sales team succeed. Awesome benefits including health insurance, car, time off, etc. Great work-life balance.

    Cons

Travel needed for training. However, all sales positions require this. Not really a con in my book.

I have been working at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

good salaries and benefits; people really want to make a difference

    Cons

changing culture from the "old Novo" to big pharma; everything is "roi"- the patient focus is being lost; long period of growth may be coming to an end and freaking people out; lots of hanky panky with senior male managers and female direct reports makes for unsettling work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

remember you are owned by a foundation, not wall street. you did more good in the old days than you are doing now when you are 6x bigger and could be doing such amazing things
