    Pros

Good compensation and international career development opportunities. Time-off policies generous.

    Cons

The quality of senior management varies greatly throughout the organization. Positive experience depends on location and manager. Lack of transparency around promotions and employees not kept to equal standards.

    Pros

Great people, Financial outlook is very good, Exposure and opportunities at a global level

    Cons

Management and Leadership changes. Employee survey at the function group level is engineered by function managers. This allows for managers to keep their favourites loyal to them to get higher rating on the survey. It is so much against the grain for rewarding and growing talents.

I worked at Novo Nordisk as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

A great company to work for with friendly coworkers who are willing to help you settle in.

    Cons

There were none, except for me it was a contract position and all they did was keep extending it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

need to acknowledge hard working employees even contract employees and at least offer them a perm position otherwise they end up leaving.

I have been working at Novo Nordisk full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

NNI, and specifically the BioPharm division, is focused on delivering real value to society. The commitment extends beyond our products to the overall business approach with a focus on financials balanced with environmental and social progress. In my experience, the people have been excellent to work with, and leadership tries to do the right thing. There is minimal bureaucracy in BioPharm, and field employees' perspectives are actively solicited, even though they are not always aligned to.

Pipeline and future prospects look solid - certainly better than the industry-at-large

Salaries are good and benefits are great, though slightly less so than they used to be.

    Cons

Systems and processes haven't kept up with growth. Due to the small size of BioPharm, there is also some challenge in career growth, unless you're willing to switch to diabetes taking a half-step down.

Current leadership is rightly looking for ways to tighten our belts, but also is changing some of the cultural/symbolic aspects of the company that many here love and rely upon as a source of loyalty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead us through our current challenges, but keep the US culture in mind when making cost-cutting decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Many talented individuals within the "rank and file." Strong compensation and benefits package.

    Cons

Leadership is way too political; most important to be aligned to the right leader.

I worked at Novo Nordisk full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Generally, this is a collegial and collaborative environment, with a lot of team spirit and a relatively low level of tolerance for back-stabbing. Most people seem to feel part of a successful team and a desire to keep that success by working cooperatively.

    Cons

vertical mobility is limited, especially once you're over 40. The HR organization is surprisingly malignant and more like what I've encountered at other companies, a marked contrast in light of the fact that the working environment is refreshingly better than most of what I've experienced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

replace current HR with an enlightened team to match the rest of Novo employees.
