I worked at Novo Nordisk full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great collaboration, ongoing efforts to coordinate projects internally and externally. Colleagues are enjoyable for the most part.

    Cons

Nepotism; inept management at lower and higher levels. Pipeline not as robust. Lots of administrative/ less interesting work. Team morale low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay could be a lot better, work-life balance leaves much to be desired. Austerity measures are reasonable but mood/sentiment of organization could be lightened via perks.

-Proud of $ spent on R&D

    Cons

Rapid growth has created challenge of having experienced managers in place

I have been working at Novo Nordisk full-time

    Pros

The company is valued by its stakeholders and they believe that doing right by the patient is a good thing, The company believes in the triple bottom line which places the patient at the center of everything they do. This is an amazing characteristic and it is actually done and implemented at every level in the company.

    Cons

The are no advancement opportunities in certain division. The diabetes side rules of course but they are now reducing merit increases and price gauging in the marketplace. The other division is a cash cow for the company but is not recognized at all. The issue of work life balance is major and not something they are big on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start taking care of your people. Its that simple.
