I had fantastic experience in NPCIL.

Addl G M (Contracts &Materials Management) (Former Employee) Mumbai (India)

ProsIt gives lot of freedom to work with your own style, with original methods to get success in One's roll in the co.I got lot of job satisfaction here.

ConsLike any other public sector co.,there are some inherent drawbacks like promotions are not always based on yur performance and achievements.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe Top bosses should not always believe and act on the feedbacks given by the immediate boss but must keep an alternative feedback system and must take this also into consideration.

Technically satisfying but dissatisfied with remote locations and monetary compensation

SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (Current Employee) Tirunelveli (India)

ProsThe future of nuclear growth in India looks bright in spite of stern public opposition. The career growth is also great with start of multiple new projects to meet 9% of total energy share by 2032. You will be technically satisfied with demands of the job if you are involved.
Better township facilities - schools, recreational facilities including children's park, daily grocery shops

ConsThere is no managerial involvement in project progress monitoring and being a quasi-government company, people will be relaxed. Those who work will be taxed with hardly any monetary rewards and those who do not work will continue to enjoy with no worry of promotion getting affected.
As these plants are in remote locations, you will be totally out of metro life culture and sometimes do not even get an opportunity to enjoy weekends.
You will encounter THE worst canteen facilities at plant site.
You will face at least 6 interviews/refresher training programmes in a year in the form of departmental promotion interview, regulatory body licensing interview, exams/interviews to meet other statutory requirements etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease listen and implement the suggestions given by managerial experts to improve work culture, promotion interviews, and monetary benefits.
