    Good People and cool gear

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Cumberland, RI

ProsIf you are into music or music production this is definitely an exciting place to be. You get to work with some fun gear. The people are all really great too. The majority of people seem to get along.

ConsUnfortunately there is very little planing which makes for extremely frustration scheduled. Everything is always a crisis. Management doesn't know how to manage projects. There is little to no teamwork. It's mostly every man for himself.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlan ahead. If there were better scheduling for projects everything would run a lot smoother.

    Over-promise and horribly under-deliver

    Anonymous (Former Employee)
    Cumberland, RI

ProsThere are some really smart and talented people working for this company. The corporate office is in a nice location.

ConsAbsolutely everything is a crisis. There are no written procedures for nearly anything. There is little-to-no documentation or training for most positions. Everything is fly by the seat of your pants and every man for himself. Management makes an art form of over-hyping and over-promising and grossly under-delivering in nearly all facets of the business. Pay is abysmal compared to other similar companies. Morale is very low.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in your people. Lay out clear and realistic job descriptions and expectations. Establish intelligent and appropriate procedures. Focus more on building on strengths of the talented individuals and less on putting out the fire of the day.

Definitely some great people to work with, but not a company that values their employees.

    Technical Support (Former Employee)
    Cumberland, RI

ProsGood people. Unfortunately, I am forced to use 20 words here so I'll have to elaborate a bit. The people working there are fairly pleasant. The hours are standard.

ConsThere is a general feeling of despair within the building, making it pretty tough to stay upbeat while working there. There were vast layoffs last year, as well, to add to the fun. Most people just spend a few months here, I feel, as the pay is horribly low to boot.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou're losing valuable future assets when you let promising young professionals walk out the door. If ever there was a time, it'd be now to take care of your people.

Not recommended for a career but a good short term stepping stone.

    Associate (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsCan learn a lot and get great experience in technical/electronic manufacturing and distribution. Some of the folks in the trenches are great and really keep the company going.

ConsManagement. There should be a case study on this company on how to kill enthusiasm and dedication through poor leadership. Stay off the radar and you may survive.

Advice to Senior ManagementChange direction and manage egos. Unfortunately any effective leadership is a rare occurrence.

Stay clear unless you like to be abused

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsNot much to say here. Trying to be objective but its nearly impossible.

ConsCompletely under qualified people in management.
I cannot stress this enough : the people calling the shots should be jailed for how they treat people and should be ashamed for pretending to be what their job title says they are.
Forget about getting appreciated for your hard work or ever getting a fair raise.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of your marketing managers and stop giving titles to people who cant even organize the tying of their own shoes.

Great products, lean organization leads to many pitfalls

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsOpportunity to influence many aspects of the company. You can wear many hats. Personally I've learned a lot from my time here.

ConsSevere dearth of leadership and management. Many unqualified people in integral positions. More care should be taken when considering

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest more in the people that are there. Don't be so quick to discard people who have been with the company several years. Replacing them is extremely costly and no one is counting the cost.

    Be Careful

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsKind and creative staff at the non-managerial level. Average benefits.

ConsPower is unevenly distributed and in the wrong hands. Bad politics are unavoidable. Weak management, abuse of power, and poor communication. No one to be trusted, poor working conditions outside of management area. Very poor organization.

Not for the faint of heart!

    Senior Position (Current Employee)

    ProsEntrepreneurial spirit
    Great employees
    Room for advancement

    ConsChaotic
    Politics rule the day
Teamwork can be very difficult - too many silos

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed more transparency
Culture of blame versus cultivating relationships
Thank and appreciate your employees more often

Best used as a stepping stone vs. a career.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSome good people in certain areas or roles try to maintain a positive attitude in spite of the culture and do their best to support efforts to create, market and deliver good products. Benefits are fair.

ConsManagement! Management style is to direct from the top with little interest in new ideas or challenges. This is definitely a top down culture and it unfortunately limits the overall success of the company and any real individual development. It's generally "just a job" for most. Policies are inconsistently administered.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffice politics and limited direct communication seem to negatively impact what understanding management has on what is actually occurring within the organization. Change the players or read a leadership book at the very least.

    Learned a lot

    Product Manager (Former Employee)
    Cumberland, RI

ProsFast-faced, high-action environment. Pay can be good if you negotiate well and play the game. Hungry, aggressive owner who is determined to win.

ConsUtter lack of transparency and very weak communication of strategy. High stress, long hours, lots of politics and high concentration of power among a few individuals. Mature, contracting industry.

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop leaders and distribute power. Decision-making authority needs to be diversified.
