I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts part-time for less than a year
Pros – The pay is usually above minimum wage.
Cons – Constantly dealing with angry customers because other store send them to you for a part you don't have, and you have to tell them you don't have the part and it was your mistake.
Schedules are constantly changing and you may be called in a day you asked off or a couple hours before you were originally scheduled.(occasionally you will be needed at another store).

I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts part-time for less than a year
Pros – O'Reilly's has good benefits if you can meet their high sales/productivity standards and stay long enough to get them.
Cons – I was promised training on their Infinity Parts system by the store manager--but got none. I was scheduled to work with customers without adequate training. Customers would ask "why I was helping them" when I didn't know how to use the system. When I asked fellow Team Members for help, I was told to "think about it." How can one think about how to use the system when you haven't been trained?
Advice to Senior Management – Practice the company policy of "assigning a training mentor" to new Team Members who will actually train new people.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than a year
Pros – People are great, management is open to letting you try your own ideas, relaxed atmosphere.
Cons – Low pay, kind of older tech.
Advice to Senior Management – I dunno. In some ways it's nice because our current structure brings in a lot of new people who are in need of experience, which is hard to get in this economy. But that only happens because people who have experience keep leaving. I think we may need a little more balance.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts part-time for more than a year
Pros – Good pay, learn more about cars while working! Low price guarantee ensures customers keep coming back!
Cons – Constantly dealing with bad customers, but that's retail! Your hours depended on how much your store would profit. Bad sales=less hours for employees. This becomes a problem because some stores do not have high traffic as other stores do, so in that case your out of luck!
Advice to Senior Management – Work on enforcing good customer service within stores. Check out Yelp reviews on your stores so you see which ones need improvement

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – They offer medical benefits, profit sharing, and matching 401K
Cons – Prefer part-time employees so that benefits can't be acquired. Instead of promoting their own employees, they hire managers from outside Auto Parts stores. Employee safety is not a concern for management.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote within, consistent evaluations, staff stores appropriately, and structured security for high crime locations.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The staff at the store I work at are all very knowledgeable.
Cons – Lazy employees, lack of leadership, no pay increases, treated like a number
Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees what they are worth. We make over 3 million a year in gross and your salary's are less then 1% of that. This is not how you keep your employees and have a very high turn over rate. You expect a .25 cent raises a year to do something.
