I have been working at OHL full-time

    Cons

Do not read the sour grapes on this page, most do not have the experience or knowledge to keep up the fast pace.

    Advice to Management

More advancement opportunity in IT needed.

I worked at OHL full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Medical and 401K plan start much faster than other companies , Co. Pays 100% of health coverage , If you get along with the big guys and belong to a club within the company then you will have fun and get all the benefits

    Cons

I am referring to Irvine office , The HR specialist there low education and feel insecure , she is very intimidating , use improper language with staff sometime , but she is a good friend with the controller , I saw another Lady who was an A/P being bullied and escorted outside of the building ( not only the OHL leased suite) when she was terminated in less than 3 minutes , Next thing is the HR specialist start doing some of the work of the A/P person and the HR specialist moved on to the A/P person office. Same thing happens with me , The Company has no proper training or procedures in place , If you are Iranian & friends with the Iranian three big guys in the company you will get a good salary ...etc , If you were working for Griffith co. and were a friends with the president or someone in OHl you will get all the benefits , but if you do not belong to those two clubs then you may be isolated and your days are numbered. If you are terminated that low class HR person will treat you worse than an EBOLA infected person and kick you out of the whole building, although they do not own the building, but with her low education she does not know the difference between a leased suite in a building and a building owned by OHL

    Advice to Management

Look closely in the company and set more controls

    Pros

Easy to gain respect as most employees barely have a high school diploma. Overtime is often worked, which means more money.

    Cons

Their HR department is terrible; overtime is required and a non-negotiable; hardly anyone has a college degree; a lot of theft happens among colleagues.

    Advice to Management

Use better judgement when choosing your temporary employees so that your permanent employees feel safe. Maybe consider having employees take turns for overtime so that you don't over work your employees.

I worked at OHL full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is very good for students getting straight out of high school. I loved this place because of environment and the praise that you get. Safety is a very important priority.

    Cons

Sometimes the work load was very unrealistic. Some leads could be rude but for the most part in my personal experience most were very nice.

    Pros

OHL International is great place when you just graduate college and are in need of experience and a solid income.

    Cons

There is no growth in this company. Raises and benefits are a joke.

I worked at OHL full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

At first, the people were great, including management. I was hired for one position, and I really liked it.

    Cons

There's either too much work or not enough. When they are having their"promo" there's plenty of overtime, but this might just last for two weeks, at best. When there's not enough work, you either are let go or forced to work in another department, often without proper training. They talk a big game about safety, but nobody is safe. Whatever you do, do NOT have an on the job injury! You do that, and need to be on Workers Compensation, you are enemy number one. Your days are numbered and management treats you like crap, practically forcing you to quit.

    Advice to Management

Realize that you are a person and so are the people you boss around. You bark at people to do a job that you wouldn't lift a finger to do. Get your hands dirty once in a while and stop acting like you're better than anyone.

Plenty to do but just not much room for advancement due to typical bureaucracy.

I worked at OHL full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are actually interested in the industry and like to ask questions, you will actually learn something that you can take somewhere else

    Cons

Not much training at all. Questions are initially frowned upon and if you get hired as an entry writer or something similar you will just be expected to get as many done as possible instead of actually learning proper Customs regulations to apply.

    Advice to Management

Management was solely concerned about numbers only because they were pressured from above. I actually have no advice to mgmt because they are all super knowledgeable but they are just following orders from above.

I have been working at OHL full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a job and they allow you to move up in the warehouse part of the company.

    Cons

Not climate controlled at all so when it hot outside it is even hotter inside. They really don't pay what they should for the production they have you doing.

    Advice to Management

Just be honest , they always lie about production and goals so my thing would be just tell it like it is

    Advice to Management
