Pros – Small company with a great customer-focused culture.
Employees are empowered to take care of customers's needs.
Expanding opportunities in our company and industry (we have grown every year right through the recession).

Cons – In the past, during periods of intense growth, we made some serious hiring mistakes and kept cancerous personalities around for too long. We now have a great team in place.

Cons – No real advancement opportunities, mostly based on tenure

Advice to Senior Management – Upper management could better evaluate the people skills of middle management

Pros – Free doughnuts on Fridays. Yipee

Cons – Talk of layoffs and cutbacks on hours has everyone buzzing. Knocking the hours down to 29 a week per employee will get rid of having to pay benefits and won't really work because the OBOMOcare has plans for companies that do that. Not a good position for anyone with a family. Fear of losing benefits, as overpriced as they may be, could really drive people out the door.
