    Pros

Coworkers will be generally Good, Caring People and morale is typically high across departments. Employment usually has Decent Benefits with Adequate Pay for a hospital outside the Medical Center

    Cons

Upper Management is fairly dictatorial and somewhat detached from the workings of the hospital and has a tendency to rule by fiat

    Advice to Management

Increase Staffing Increase Salary Be responsive to employees

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at OakBend Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Close-knit community hospital with many cultures and nationalities, small campuses with direct supervision from administration

    Cons

Poor collaboration between staff and administration, little to no communication directly from the "higher ups." Consistent culture of threatening rather than educating, ALWAYS ALWAYS short-staffed.

    Advice to Management

Spend time in the actual departments of focus and see how shifts operate on day and night shift, get to know your staff rather than herding them with demands and threats.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at OakBend Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The employees are friendly and the smaller physicial pool allows for good relationships between doctors and ancillary staff.

    Cons

Adminstration would rather sacrifice patient care than spend the money to properly staff the hospital.

    Advice to Management

The company says they strive to provide quality patient care but when it comes down to it, they are constantly making decisions based on the bottom line and putting patient quality and safety second.
