    Pros

    Fast changing company reinventing itself for the better. Passionate and dedicated professionals with strong expertise on their field. Strong focus on our customers and dedication to problem solving and differentiating not only technically but also in our relationship with our customers.

    Cons

    Still strong heritage from the past that constitute challenges in the daily operations (not only on the business side but also in terms of tools and policies). Thankfully most of these are changing and adapting to a changing market. Some divisions are startup-like while some others may sometimes feel anchored in the past and further down in the change management process.

    Advice to Management

    keep up the great work that is being undertaken!

    I have been working at Oberthur Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - promotion opportunities - interesting technology and products - travel opportunities (more than 40 locations word wide!) I have been working for this company for close to 10 years. I had the opportunity to work in multiple locations, got promoted a few times, used to have many highly skilled and pleasant colleagues. Then we were bought through a LBO.

    Cons

    - Below market pay - Overly centralized management ignoring regional and local specifics and initiatives Since we've been acquired by an equity firm all decisions are purely number based and as a result several things occur: - non-sense policies such as "no travel", "no investment in IT", "hiring freeze" (while being told to grow by top management) - skilled colleagues and managers leaving, replaced by unskilled people

    Advice to Management

    Invest in people; stop adding layers of management instead of adding contributors.

    very dynamic and ambitious. Working on great products (smart cards, mobile payments). Everyone can be involved if motivation is there

    Lean organisation, very poor HR and talent management

    focus more on talents, retention

    Pros

    Still some good people at the company, though it can be challenging to find them.

    Cons

    Low pay. Long hours. Poor training. Unskilled and unknowledgeable management replaced highly skilled and well regarded management. Low advancement opportunity within the company.

    Fix the cons and listen to people who are trying to help make the company a better place.

    I worked at Oberthur Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Easy work. Very repetitive work. Co-workers were really nice people and they made the time go by fast.

    Cons

    They do not pay well. There is no room for moving up and trying to get a better or higher position.

    Advice to Management

    Pay Employees More. Create a program for employees to move up within the conpany.

    autonomy and good help, Good work life balance and provide flexibility

    Compensations are very low, no recognition for work, very little career growth opportunities, no mentor-ship program

    I worked at Oberthur Technologies full-time

    Pros

    I've worked a very long time for Oberthur and I have made very good friends. The working environment is OK and the offices are not bad and in a very central location

    Cons

    Salaries are kept secret so I don't know how good they are in general, but mine has not increased very much over the years. Management is very adamant and does not allow employees to participate in the decision making process. You do as you are told and that is the end of it.

    Advice to Management

    Let employees share ideas with you.
