    Pros

I work in the their Nashville facility & they have a good pay & benefits package

    Cons

Lack of communication & planning at times

    Advice to Management

Need to do a better job at recognizing talent & compensating good employees in order to retain them instead of becoming a training ground for an employee's next job

I worked at Oberto Brands full-time

    Pros

well its not for the money that is for sure. people there are nice

    Cons

Management seems to run around in circles one does not know what the other is doing especially the production manager. I do not know where they got this person from but they need someone else.

    Advice to Management

Keep each other in the loop about things talk to each other about what is going on in other departments.

I have been working at Oberto Brands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Ocassionally get free beef jerk. A few hard working people left.

    Cons

Management is a total joke. No support and the expectation is that we work 70 hours a week while the exec group is hardly in the office. lots of turnover. New people leave running within 6 months and everyone else has been beaten down so badly that they believe they can't go anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

To the new CEO - talk to the people who have been around a while. Face the fact that your CFO should be running a concentration camp, not a business.

    Jun 11, 2015 – Talent Acquistion Manager

I am the new CEO for Oberto Brands, and I wanted to address some of the recent feedback on glass door. There are many constituents that use glass door as a valuable resource, and I am most concerned ... More

  5. To be the first impression for the company by assisting customer's/vendors and office staff in any way possible.

I worked at Oberto Brands as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They care about their employees like they are part of their family.

    Cons

As a contract employee, it is hard to get a job within their company, unless you have worked for them in another department.

50% turnover this year. Daily water cooler talk about how poorly managed the organization is

    Pros

There are some very nice and smart people you get to work with - you'll learn a thing or two

    Cons

The worst management team ever. Nothing gets accomplished - constant blunders due to lack of good management catapult the business further underwater each quarter. The turnover is the worst part. Because no one sticks around for longer than 6 months, no big changes that are really needed ever get made. I implore you to look elsewhere if you're consider working for this company. Most people who join openly express regret over leaving their prior employer within 4-8 weeks.

    Advice to Management

What management? They fired everyone. If they weren't fired, they quit.

I worked at Oberto Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation is based on national averages for similar job titles. There are many friendly and helpful coworkers willing to help out with tasks or put in overtime.

    Cons

Training was practically nonexistent despite expectations. Advancement opportunites present themselves very rarely. Communication problems and conflict between departments was common.

    Advice to Management

Management was a bit too removed from the day-to-day challenges.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Oberto Brands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of good employees, doing productive work. Benefits are reasonably good.

    Cons

Have traditionally shown good values and talk a lot about them. However, living them out on a daily basis seems to be a challenge for senior management.

    Advice to Management

If people are the most important asset, it would be wise to listen better to what they think. There are a lot of good long term employees that are increasingly frustrated with the direction of senior management.

  10. Helpful (2)

I have been working at Oberto Brands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been working at Oberto Sausage Company full-time for more than 10 years Decent pay if you have been with the company for over 10 years. Otherwise, newly hired employees generally start at less than $50k per year.

    Cons

The company takes advantage of people any way it can. A LOT of hypocrisy.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach at the Monday morning stairwell meetings: values, respect, integrity, etc. Many people in management are quick to jump to conclusions and are very arrogant.
