They don't value some employees as much as they should.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

11 paid days off, if you aren't forced to work them

    Cons

Accrue sick days and vacation days, but are denied usage of days or chastised for having too many.the managers that make the "big" deductions for you, don't even know your name. If you are a "beautiful" looking1 person that fits their mold of youth.you are a shoe-in. If you stay and have to start using your health insurance and sick days to get well, be prepared to get your resume updated and distributed because your time at this place is limited.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get managers that don't have swords hidden to stab their employees in the back. Oh yeah, how about a lie detector test with reporting employees asking the questions. This company is on the verge of selling, and will use every last ounce of energy and ideas from its employees to get that top dollar from the buyer. For those of you there, your are. Idiots for staying. For those of you considering that what I say is exaggeration,God help you. Don't say I did not warn you. I only put one star because I have no choice to put something.

    Pros

Oceaneering is a company that takes pretty good care of it's employees, I think. Good pay, great benefits, holidays, etc.

    Cons

Serious issues with consistent workload. Sometimes there will be nothing to do for months, and sometimes everyone works late night to push a project through. Very poor upper level management.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your department heads are saying, they know what's going on in their group a lot better.

    Pros

Uniforms, 401k, benefits, and coordination was always a plus side to the company. Initial training to learn some basics was thorough.

    Cons

Good Ole boy club Equivalent of minimum wage pay for the industry and corporate(or the board) is completely aware and does not have any interest in providing a industry level salary. Promotions are loosely based of off competency, and then largely based on who you know. Training is hardly industry level and even safety protocols aren't what you would call "standards". The gear is quickly being out matched in efficiency and technolocally by the competition.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times...your employees need it.

    Cons

If you are not a friend to your supervisor or if you are not one to do what the cool kids are doing... you can expect to get shunned and eventually pushed out the door. Your experience is not a factor with this company. Butt kissing at its finest
