    Pros

Good place to start out in the industry. Highly recommend getting five years experience here, then moving on to another company. Good reputation of company.

    Cons

Pay is lower than most companies in this sector. Not much room for upward mobility.

    Pros

Company has grown their leadership internally, and it works. From J. Huff in the 90's to current..it keeps the personality and culture of the company in tact.

    Cons

Very widespread geographically, tough to get a handle on all that OII does

    Advice to Management

J.Huff is legendary, some of his "teachings" really are the best - don't lose these! for example - . no task is below you; you can delegate responsibility by cannot delegate accountability...

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Oceaneering International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, great co-workers at the BU level, great training programs.

    Cons

Horribly inefficient upper management. A true "boy's club" in which highly qualified women are not only not promoted but also held back by "good 'ole boy" management. Honestly an embarrassment for the good male employees (which there are many but too few in mgmt positions). Many unethical and borderline illegal activities observed by middle management and also corporate (VP level) management.

    Advice to Management

Get over your "conservative" philosophy and into the real world. You're a publicly held company and should be managaged as such.

    Pros

Great work atmosphere, small company values in a large corporation

    Cons

    Not so competitive salaries.

    Advice to Management

Career advances should be considered because of individuals work ethic and production value. Not solely by their educational level.
