I have been working at Ocwen Financial full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

None that I can think of

    Cons

Everything. Pay is terrible. Management has no idea what they're doing. No chance for promotion and micromanagement is stifling. Considering the recent regulatory scrutiny, one would think that the company would shift its focus, but it keeps making the same mistakes over and over. My advice to anyone currently working here: GET OUT. Any prospective employees: think twice before accepting a job offer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees and remember that promotions and pay raises provide incentives.

I worked at Ocwen Financial full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I really can't think of any

    Cons

The company doesn't care about their employees or their customers. They are about the bottom line, the money they are "making". Until they aren't making money they aren't going to change a thing. They took the reputation of GMAC and all the hard work they did to do things right and they wasted it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get what you pay for. When you pay your "off shore" workers nothing then you get nothing in return.

    Pros

Great Employee's, Free Coffee in break room

    Cons

No Training, Outsource all IT to India

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replacing current employees with 3x's as many Inida employees might seem like a great money saving plan, but in the long run you will just have to bring the jobs back to the US. Many companies have tried this plan and the majority have had to bring computer support back to the US. Computer Support should never be outsourced.

    Pros

Building is comfortable. Has cafeteria, walking trail and workout room.

    Cons

Old technology requiring manual work. Benefits are poor. No salary increases. Training is inadequate. Very, very cost conscious to the point of being a detriment to the company. Everyone I know wants to find a job with another company and envy the workers who were recently laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show respect to your employees. Spend money in order to keep good people.

    Pros

There is nothing positive about this company

    Cons

Bottom line this company is horrible. Upper Management has no clue as to what they are doing and are running this company into the ground.. This place does not care one ounce about their employees. They offer no yearly pay increases, no opportunity for career advancement, and their benefits are the worst.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue on how to run a major corporation and learn how to treat your employee's with the respect they deserver and you might have a chance to save this company.

    Pros

    They say they are growing

    Cons

I worked here 2 weeks before I ran for the hills! Extremely negative environment. The position I was hired for was nothing like they described and I was highly over-qualified. I was supposed to get my final check on Monday and I am still waiting for them to issue it. Employees complained about being micro-managed and not getting paid for their bonuses and commissions. They are laying people off and hiring new people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to care more about employee satisfaction. This company seems like they work you to death and have no appreciation for your efforts.

    Pros

    I can't think of any

    Cons

I was hired as a manager. (That is what job title said.) My first day there they told me I was a supervisor and not a manager. I brushed it off at first but the first thing I noticed is there is 0 moral in this place. Upper management doesn't care about the employees. I asked someone about perks the company has and they laughed at me. I was there for about 8 months and never received anything...No free lunch, no Holiday bonus or party, etc. They had so many employee rules, it was worse than the Navy.
People would get fired randomly then managers would have to find out what the person was working on since they were not notified until after they were fired. No one would ever say the reason for terminations but most were hard working and shocked us when some were let go. Twice my manager came up to me and said find out what he/she was working on because they got fired and he didn't know it was coming. It's no surprise less than 10% of the people there had been there over than a year.
The CEO seems to get free lunches everyday brought in by an outside caterer but the employees get treated like crap
One other note: The computer I was using was made in 2004 and the monitor was made in 2006. I found out they get shipments of used computer equipment and deploy them to the employees. It's really sad when you are typing an email, you have to wait for the computer to catch up because it was so slow, how do they expect employees to be productive? Computers are $400 new that would be 10 times as fast

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees like employees instead of Walmart workers

    Pros

If you last, you'll receive some kind of pay.

    Cons

Too long to list, although the top 2 are 2. Overall benefits and pay - below average. 1. Executive Management doesn't appear to care about the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's obvious to that Executive Mgmt and the Board doesn't appear to care about their people, profit is the #1 goal at all cost and the turnover rate is high, even at the Director and VP levels, which is unusual in the financial industry. Remember, some companies grow because of great management, others companies grow despite of management.
