I have been working at Ogilvy Public Relations full-time for more than a year
Pros – There are many training sessions and there is a lot to grow at this place. If you make it there, you should appreciate the chance and be ready to work hard and learn a lot.
Cons – There is too much stress and it rarely feels that the hard work is as recognized as it should be. Growth in terms of hierarchy and salary is slow, specially in the current economy.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more attention to detail when it comes to your employees' hard work. It's a great place, but it could improve in terms of individual recognition and sincerity.

I worked at Ogilvy Public Relations full-time for more than a year
Pros – Creative people, interesting work, great location in Washington DC.
Cons – Due to the consulting environment, it was common for junior staff to do work higher than their level and expected to work long hours. Environment tended to be competitive and seemed like employees were encouraged to outperform each other, and rewarded as such.
Advice to Senior Management – Lead the charge to make culture more collaborative instead of competitive.

I have been working at Ogilvy Public Relations full-time for less than a year
Pros – Everybody working in the DC are intelligent and highly professional. Since we are in DC, the majority of the client base is federal and nonprofit but management does make an effort to find what the staff like and seek clients of our interest.
Cons – Because it's DC, our client base is mainly federal and nonprofit. Will be looking forward to a more diverse group of work. The office can be too quite at times which makes it very awakard.
Advice to Senior Management – Change the office setup to an open work space. Will break the barrier for different people from different groups.

I have been working at Ogilvy Public Relations
Pros – OPR is a great company with room for advancement, and importantly, great client work that a team of wonderful people collaborates on. Work is work, but doing my job at OPR is a consistent point of pride.
Cons – This is not Ogilvy-specific, but we're in DC, the PR world, and blur the lines of advertising. We all work more than we should. That's industry-wide though. Ogilvy doesn't pretend it's perfect, which is appreciated.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing what you're doing. You can't make every employee happy, of course not, but in my experience, there's at least a 90% satisfaction rate, which is massive. Ogilvy's the best place I've worked and the Washington office is fantastic.

I worked at Ogilvy Public Relations
Pros – Great place to learn from smart people. I loved my co workers. I worked on great projects that anyone would be impressed with.
Cons – No work life balance at all. Al.though there is room for growth, there isnt much opportunity for raises and you work hard

I have been working at Ogilvy Public Relations
Pros – Plenty of opportunities for growth if you raise your hand and ask for it.
Senior leaders treat you with respect.
Good benefits and 4 weeks of vacation (this includes the week between Christmas and New Years) plus 3 personal days and 6 sick days is nice.
Cons – I believe this is fairly typical across agencies, but the work/life balance is one of the biggest struggles to working at Ogilvy.
You are expected to work long-hours during new business (I've pulled a few all-nighters and definitely worked/traveled on the weekends), but there is no comp time given.
By far my biggest gripe is the pay. You need to fight to get your salary up when you start, otherwise you will stay as low as possible for as long as possible (even if you are excelling at the work).
Advice to Senior Management – I think they need to reevaluate how they reward staff. Yes, I appreciate thank you notes and other small gestures, but I can barely pay my rent.
