    Pros

Great place to start your career, especially if you are in account management. There is a strong community in the agency and helps a person grow. Plus since it's a big place you have access to just about any other type of brand and team.

    Cons

In the entry level stage the hours can be long and annoying. There are many levels on most teams, so it can be hard to see an opportunity to grow and advance. Plus at times getting thing approved or out the door take a while due to the levels. Also does not pay well until you are at a senior level.

    Advice to Management

For entry level employees they should either provide clearer career paths for growth and promotions, or at minimum pay them better.

    Pros

I can recall very few pros to my experience. I would say if you can find a person willing to mentor or advocate for you there it could be an amazing place of growth. In my experience, very few people take the time to even train you to do the bare minimum your job requires. It's very devil wears prada culture wise. But it is a great place to learn the advertising industry

    Cons

Lack of culture - it felt more corporate than ad agency. definitely a competitive vibe among peers. Work life balance is non existent if you are a junior level employee.

    Pros

Ogilvy & Mather is a fun office in which to work, and there is a lot of creativity in the company.

    Cons

The company was struggling economically and laid off creatives in disproportionate numbers. This affected morale in the office considerably.

    Advice to Management

Communicate to all levels of employees why you are making cutbacks in order to gain buy-in and acceptance of these actions in tough financial times.

    Pros

Fantastic international network - recognised in the industry as the best. High profile brands to work on, creative output generally strong. Surprisingly 'human' for a large agency. Lots of talented smart people around and many staff stay for their whole career due to the size and range internal opportunities within the Uk Group and internationally. Move to Sea Containers House will give it the swankiest office in London. Lots of women in senior leadership positions and agency has its own women's network to promote this.

    Cons

Very low pay compared to industry average. All work, no play culture with extremely low levels of socialising. Great at spotting young talent who are drawn to household name and international possibilities but weak HR = little development once here. The brightest and best leave in order to advance and gain the recognition they deserve, leading to a hemorage of mid-level, home-grown talent. Prone to cultish tendencies - you need to be an 'Ogilvy type person' (Read, play at internal politics) to succeed and gain promotion.

    Advice to Management

O&M's general need to improve its creative output is being addressed but the high turnover of staff isn't. Best agencies ultimately = best people with the best ideas. Improve training and pay for those who excel and are valuable. Look after the talent under your nose (at all levels) before it walks out the door to your competitors.

    Pros

Exposure to different teams & projects of traditional advertising is a plus. Great on resume. Production studio in office. Corporate benefits are positive. Agency-wide & team events. Rooftop at NYC office.

    Cons

Depending on what team/client you're on, you put in 60+ hours a week if not more. Limited promotion opportunities or salary increase outside of promotion. Very linear role. A lot of team turnover and increased workload to cover those who've left. Review was given after almost two years.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunity & open environment for employees to speak about promotions/raises and goals for advancement. Compensate for hard work and drive to keep strong talent.
