I worked at Ogilvy & Mather as an intern for less than a year

Pros – Fun, Interesting and Helpful to boosting my career

Cons – I mean the pay isn't great, but at least you get paid as an intern!

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great intern program work!

Cons – Dont know whether it provides huge career oppurtunity, heard that initially pay is less.

Cons – Mismanaged, bad appraisal system, too much office politics, poor salary

Advice to Senior Management – Start looking into why employees do not stay beyond several months and correct office environment

Variety of clients- fulfilling work
Work life balance

Low office morale
Lack of incentive to continue to work hard for the company

Advice to Senior Management – Give us a reason to work hard for you. The lack of money and recognition has led office morale to reach an all time low. Twenty percent of the staff got laid off in early May and the company has done nothing to reassure us or let us know why we are still there and how we can improve.

Pros – The people, as in many agencies, are great - pretty much across the board (with the odd jerk)

Cons – Opportunities seemed limited; some 'ol' timers' rusted on and never to forsake their positions of comfort

Still feeling the stain of the change from Singleton Ogilvy and Mather - culturally and structurally

Advice to Senior Management – Keep going - keep pushing - but do much more to recognize its the people inside the business that drive success

Fun environment, company outings
Great benefits and employee perks

Cons – Pay seems a bit below industry standard
Unclear about annual review/pay raise process
A little bit "corporate" of an environment for an agency

Pros – Good life/ work balance. People are friendly. Some really talented creatives work there.

Cons – Lacking great creative work due to client restraints. Raises do not exist.

Advice to Senior Management – Make people feel more appreciated by giving them a bonus/ raise every once in a while.

Pros – Amazing work place, amazingly talented peers and colleagues

Cons – Nothing that I can think of at this moment

Pros – Extensive relationships with clients and media. More time for vacation than other media or agency in China.
The office I was working at Ogilvy & Mather in China, not New York.

Cons – Too much overtime work, compensation less than other companies.

Advice to Senior Management – How about improve the compensation?
