    Pros

Big company with big accounts and potential, no talent in US specially at the very top but there is some elsewhere in the global network.

    Cons

Creative talent/ambition in NY office non-existent - not an opinion, a fact: Ogilvy was top network at Cannes two years running with zero Lions/contribution from Ogilvy US. A glaring con.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New top management - particularly creative but not exclusively - desperately needed at Ogilvy US NOW! Perhaps Miles Young be more directly involved there?

Ogilvy works on so many different types of projects, you have the chance to try many different things

    Cons

    Competitive
Associates tend to leave bc they feel like interns

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication within the company needs to be better. Even though I had a great experience there was an air of disorganization and disjointedness

I have been working at Ogilvy & Mather full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some good procedures in place that worked well. I could feel the office management wanted to foster culture, but had no clue how to. Large team of people to learn from.

    Cons

Very inflexible hours. Lack of collaboration. Lack of loyalty, no job security, people would be let go over lunch. More concerned with hitting deadlines than doing a good job.

I worked at Ogilvy & Mather full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly and relaxed environment, good pay, flexible work schedule

    Cons

Disorganized, with poor leadership in certain areas, short-sighted decisions being made at the top, big bureaucracy filled with folks who don't contribute much, layoffs happen all too often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Why do you invest in hiring full time people but treat them like freelancers? Employee retention is good for you, don't hire loads of people when a new account comes along only to lay them all off when another account is lost.
