    I worked at Oklahoma State

    Pros

Great experience having opportunity to teach class to 200 students and have an office

    Cons

having 200 students meant a lot of office hours but having 5 TAs to help was good

I have been working at Oklahoma State full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

It pays terribly. The benefits are good, but I have a Masters degree, have worked here 15 years and earn $43,745.88. I can't look for a public sector job because then I will not qualify for public service loan forgiveness.

    Cons

Some years we do not et raises (most actually) yet our parking permit prices are increased...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees more and be more lenient about letting them use flextime, even if they are on salary. At my job, being on salary is not an advantage. Even though there are times when I work more hours, I don't get to ever work less hours without taking personal leave. I've never worked anywhere like this.

I worked at Oklahoma State full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Adequate working environment--I got an office and a computer. My co-workers were very helpful. I had a supportive supervisor, and great students

    Cons

Low pay--they paid me less than public schools

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the instructors more and spend less on frivolous expenses. People, not things, are your greatest asset.

I worked at Oklahoma State full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Once you're in, you're in. Once passed your preliminary period, it is hard to get fired which does encourage employee morale.

    Cons

If you're on campus, the parking is a nightmare. Benefits are not that great, except for the week off at Christmas (if your department takes it!)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There's no reason to separate the Vacation and Sick Time. Just combine the two so people can just take off when needed and not have to pick one or the other. Also, pay raises are a great thing and would be good once in a while.

I worked at Oklahoma State part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    People are nice.
    Good benefits (health insurance, etc)
I like the atmosphere on campus

    Cons

Quite decent salary for a student worker. However, for a full-time employee, the salary is kind of low. But considering the living expenses (also low), it is acceptable.
