Current Employee – been working at Old National Bancorp full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Indiana Community Based Bank that gives back to the Community through thousands of Volunteer Service Hours. Incredible training programs throughout the company
Cons – Outdated Systems, extremely slow loan processing. Account openings are clumsy and difficult to navigate through. Too many levels of Management contradicting the common goal. Unrealistic Fee structure on Checking accounts. Clearly weeding out the average Hoosier.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the Managers you hire
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Old National Bancorp part-time
Pros – Large company, strength in organization, structured well so there is always someone to go to if you needed advice or assistance. Also, as a teller, there were plenty of backups to take over if you had an emergency
Cons – There weren't necessarily any downsides I noticed throughout my employment at Old National. The people were fun to work for and with.

Current Employee – been working at Old National Bancorp
Pros – Good benefits. They encourage bettering yourself. Not really open to change.
Cons – Keep lower level employees "in the dark". Feels like they are power hungry at times. Way behind in the area of technology.

Current Employee – been working at Old National Bancorp
Pros – Old National is a very stable job that allows you to have many chances to correct yourself. They expect a certain model of employee, and they'll work with you to become that employee they want you to be. The senior leadership does a decent job. Old National has been in business for 175 years, so if you put in effort, you have noting to worry about when it comes to layoffs.
Cons – There is a strong lack of consistency across the company. Each branch operates differently, so everyone will have different problems here. At my branch, the manager is very demanding about how you present yourself, and will not allow you to sit down all day. My shift (5 days a week) is 10am to 7:30pm. It takes me an hour to get to and from work, so I'm gone 9am-8:30pm (the hour lunch is unpaid). It can become very tiring after a while.

Current Employee – been working at Old National Bancorp
Pros – It really has a family mentality here at ONB. The staff is wonderful and everyone is excellent. You feel like you are apart of the team.
Cons – There is very little room for growth at the company in regard to promotion. You have to be with the company for MANY years in order to be considered for a promotion.
Advice to Senior Management – Look more carefully at the people you have and promote those that can make a difference, not because they can open 20 checking accounts that will have no impact to the bottom line.

Former Employee – worked at Old National Bancorp
Pros – I've met some extremely talented individuals and good friends while working at ONB. If you are aggressive and vocal about developing your career ONB will make an effort to help you gain experience.
Cons – Most of the individuals who have been with the company for a long time are very incompetent at their position. I've found they do a decent job of hiring external candidates to pick up the slack from others.
Advice to Senior Management – Remain focused as a community service financial institution, and try to have consistent accountability for all team members. Other than that, great job!

Current Employee – been working at Old National Bancorp
Pros – There is a great staff and caring people at Old National.
Cons – Could be a great job if roles of position were more defined. I find myself being the jack of all trades instead of a supervisor. I like to learn new jobs, but would like them to be with in the realm of my current position.
Advice to Senior Management – Please, please, please do not let good promotable employees languish at the bottom of the ranks. If you see someone who could be doing a better job somewhere else and the employee is promotable, do everything you can to help those employees move forward. Otherwise they feel like the time they put in is wasted and look to other avenues outside of the bank or advancement.
