    Pros

Old Navy is very professional and everyone follows the rules. The employees are always excited and very fun to work with. And there's always motivation to work hard and give great customer service.

    Cons

The only con I can think of is the lack of hours, but it is the slow season and it is going to pick back up closer to summer in a month or so.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! This company is great and a lot of fun! I actually WANT to come to work :)

    Pros

    Amazing coworkers
    relaxed workplace
25% off the store and 50% off of Gap and Banana Republic merchandise

    Cons

Corporate treats you like a number (Your performance is based on how many people you sign up for credit cards over anything else)
    virtually no room for promotion

    Advice to Management

If an employee is assigned to the sales floor for their whole shift, judge them by the quality of their shops and how many customers they helped rather than how many Old Navy cards they got people to sign up for.

    Pros

Flexible schedule and typically a fun work environment. Easy work. I didn't work at a high-volume store, so we didn't have many days where the work became overwhelming.

    Cons

Biased management who played favorites at every opportunity. Qualified candidates were never promoted; unqualified people always moved up. Compared to other companies, Old Navy does a poor job of assessing and retaining talent.

Turnover rate among new employees rapidly increased because workers quickly grew frustrated. For a few years, turnover among management was a problem.

Frequent miscommunications from management, particularly a handful who did not speak good English.

Low hours even during booming season.

  7. Seasonal job here gets very disorganized and stressful.

    Pros

Discounts (including the Gap, Banana Republic, and other stores they partnered with), the employees, really fun environment! There's contests and other incentives for employees. We can dress in association with certain sales/events, example: this weekend there was a huge sale on pajamas so we were urged to wear pajamas, we are urged to wear a red shirt we own or the one they handed out for black Friday every weekend through the holidays. Is a lot of fun, I love working here!

    Cons

Not to much to complain about, maybe I'll be writing another review in a few months. I guess I'd have to say lack of hours (I am seasonal for now, that may change if they keep me and my performance or seniority) & recovering sections (especially holiday time it gets really messy and go-backs are ridiculous).

    Advice to Management

Offer me a leader position in a month or 2!!! I know you won't know who I am but I'm gonna put that thought out there.

    Pros

They have Great employee discounts at all brands and very good health benefits

    Cons

No work life balance. You really need to work a lot of hrs to get things done so the store looks good. You need to make up for the lack of payroll dollars

    Advice to Management

Change store hrs. On thanksgiving. More payroll. Less dog and pony shows for upper management.
