Former Employee – worked at Old Navy part-time for less than a year
Pros – Flexible scheduling, always got the time I requested off.
basic retail skills needed
training easy
opportunity to get promote and raises, within 8-9 months of employment I received a pay increase
BEST EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT EVER!
Cons – Not enough hours if hoping to live of the this job alone
May not get trained like your suppose to
Some job responsibility may get lost
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure all supervisors are properly training new employees, I trained but it got rushed because she scheduled the training hours and it conflicted with the time she was suppose to get off of work.

Current Employee – been working at Old Navy part-time for less than a year
Pros – - The other employees are really nice (most of them, anyway).
- The pay rate for an associate is above minimum wage-- not by much, but every little bit helps in this awful economy.
- AWESOME employee discount.
- There's always something that needs to be done, so you're rarely bored.
- Every day is a different experience.
- If you help with stuff like product placement, you get an awesome workout!
Cons – - Not enough hours, especially if you're a new associate. If it weren't for this issue, I would give the company five stars. I feel like I could contribute so much more to my job if they would schedule me more often.
- Some of the customers are really mean and entitled.
- Sometimes it feels like the management cares more about how many ONCs you sell than the overall quality of your customer service.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop making the ONCs the highest priority and give more opportunities for extra hours.

Former Employee – worked at Old Navy part-time for less than a year
Pros – Fun work environment, younger staff, treated with respect most of the time.
Cons – Because the staff is made up mostly of girls and a few guys in their early twenties, there is a lot of drama from time to time. There tends to be a lot of talking behind each others back and like any time you have 20+ girls working together, there is always going to be some behind the scenes competition and cattiness. As long as you watch you back and don't let it get to you, there shouldn't be any issues.

Pros – Great place to work in, the employees are great, although sometimes you will get tired because there is A LOT to do here, people don't try to keep things tidy, which sucks.
Cons – A lot of walking around
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Old Navy part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Fun, casual atmosphere. Staff is friendly and upbeat.
Cons – Most sales associates are young - high school and college - so there is a lot of turnover and a lack of effort among staff.
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know your staff and place them on projects/departments that fit their likes and needs.

Current Employee – been working at Old Navy part-time for more than a year
Pros – Flexibility to work in whatever section of the store I want, can set my availability to whatever according to my schedule outside of work, no uniforms, and a free environment. I also get to meet a lot of different people. Employee discounts go across the entire Gap brand.
Cons – It can get hectic at times especially during peak season, they don't always give a lot of hours as well.

Current Employee – been working at Old Navy part-time for more than a year
Pros – Employee discount is 25% off, Great management team, if you are going to school while you work its very easy for them to work with your availability. Pay is about the same as in other retail stores but moving up is easy.
Cons – They push you to offer Old navy credit cards to every customer and they almost worship the employees that can get a lot of people to sign up. As with most clothes retail, the store can get messy so there is a lot of folding and refolding the same areas.
Advice to Senior Management – Back off of the ONC's a little bit, besides that great job.
