    I worked at Old Navy

    Pros

Offered flexible work hours and would schedule you for as many hours as you wanted to work.
Employee discounts were good and you are able to get discounts at all other stores owned by Gap Corp.

    Cons

You could spend hours folding and straightening clothes only to find a huge mess once you walked away. Not the stores fault, just messy people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I thought the management was fair and promoted a fun atmosphere even when it was late and there was still a huge shipment to go through

I worked at Old Navy part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Old Navy is a fun atmosphere to work in. The people are upbeat and they do a great job of training employees.

    Cons

The hours are long and retail work is monotonous. No different than any retail job though.

I have been working at Old Navy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fast paced
    Good benefits
    Good pay
    Great discount

    Cons

The management team can either make or break you

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to have a strong training program in place when you bring in someone. Especially when bringing in a new manager.
I missed 4 days of my official training that they were unable to charge out and that I was unable to receive because the training program fell through. I was needed on the floor and we had little back up so I was unable to receive my training which could have made me a better leader to the team.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I've been working for Old navy for almost seven years, this company is flexible with your school schedule, provides sweet discounts ( did you know you get 20 or so percent off your cell phone bill just for working for gap?) and I've made some of my closest best friends in the world at this place.

    Cons

Upper management is typical retail, lots of drama, people being two-faced, unfair wages at times,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's important to speak to employees like adults, nothing makes me want to leave a business quicker than one a new manager waltzes in and starts speaking to me like a baby.

I have been working at Old Navy

    Pros

Teamwork between coworkers, the sellebrity themselves, and management is great! Gap is also planning on increasing their hourly rate to $10 this year.

    Cons

Sometimes communication between managers and sales leaders is not that great. There is also a struggle between work/life valance during the holiday season that goes away during the off season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on assigning tasks to sellevrities as a team and not individuals, leading to better communication.
