I worked at Old Navy (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment. Everyone is friendly. Hours are Flexible. Discounts are nice. Same company as Gap and Banana Republic

    Cons

There is a lot of standing up. You are not allowed to sit down. i have to pretend I was checking something if I wanted to take a break to sit down.

    Advice to Management

Management is pretty good. I don't know what else to suggest. Keep doing what you guys are doing. Definitely is a great company

I worked at Old Navy part-time

    Pros

The work environment was fun, and coworkers were nice. Often a light hearted community and work was enjoyable without too much stress.

    Cons

The floor often became quickly messy and had to refold a lot of the clothes. That is to be expected working in retail, but especially worrysome in Old Navy.

    Advice to Management

To have better communication between the higher ups and the employees. To ask for time off was difficult and often a task for us. Holiday season was difficult.

    Pros

Discounts on clothes. Everyone always worked as a team and the management was nice. Also, you can move up or transfer fairly easily since it is such a large company.

    Cons

Since old navy is more of a bargain type shopping experience, the customers can be hard. Also, you are required to work a lot during the holidays and on weekends.

    Advice to Management

I think that they do a good job. Maybe they can work on getting different types of customers which in turn could grow the business more.

I have been working at Old Navy full-time

    Pros

Work across teams is fun. People respect each other's contribution to a job well done. Over-achievers who motivate you to be your best. The output of the teams is remarkable, and people are always so friendly and fun to work with. The people you work with and the output you create make your job worth it.

    Cons

Leadership calls all the shots and disregards your input. They have no respect for how much work and time you put into your job to be successful and they continue to ask for more. They have their hands on every detail up to the last minute, creating added work. It's not sustainable management.

    Advice to Management

Respect balance. Don't be afraid to trust your team and let them handle responsibilities. Giving accolades for hard work gets old when you just keep asking for more. Try taking action to show your team members you appreciate what they do for the company. HIRE MORE PEOPLE!

I worked at Old Navy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great job for students looking to work part time. Very easy to learn everything. Interview and application process was easy and short. Every store I've worked at has had a great management team that becomes friends. Also have a great employee discount that is good at Banana Republic and Gap too.

    Cons

Hours can be low depending on how business is going.
