    Pros

I enjoyed the company culture for the period of time that I was working there. The store that I tended was one of the stores with the highest asset theft, and so I found it a fun challenge to keep my eyes open for sneaky locals. Aside from that adventure though, I liked being around the sorts of clothing that I would wear, and I enjoyed the staff since we were all of a similar mindset. The atmosphere was casual and enjoyable. Competitive wages

    Cons

There seemed to be a lot of dust and dirt. The floor was polished concrete, which wasn't the problem as much as where in the clearance section, if clothing fell onto the floor we had to be sure to clean all of the dust off of it since the cleaning staff didn't do a thorough job. Management seemed a bit overtaxed and not as supportive as we would have liked them to have be, but the company did give associates more power than other companies, so that may have had something to do with it.

    Advice to Management

I understand the need for bag checks when leaving, but it makes your employees feel as if you don't trust them and creates a rift between the employee associate level and the management level. Train associates more on the impact of theft and how to prevent it rather than making them feel as if you dont' trust them.

    Pros

The discount was great. There was a great team when I was there. Managers were pretty flexible when it came to scheduling.

    Cons

Scheduling could be a pain most of the time, and it was understandable because if we didn't reach our sales goal, there would have to sometimes be cuts. Again, due to the time (after the holidays) I would get scheduled 8 hours a week with an open availability. It wasn't my fault, nor the manager's... it was sales.

    Pros

Lots of training & recognition through the company. Discount is good & company ensures all breaks are taken & on time, (otherwise it impacts management raises & bonuses). Yo will learn about clothes & how to shop for discounts!!

    Cons

Not much of a con, but you will be expected to work. If you don't want to work, don't apply! They have higher expectations than many other companies that I've seen.

    Advice to Management

Don't expect associates to have the same level of commitment as you, or they would be management. Should promote people based off of merit, not politics. I watched it happen to many people, shame shame. District Manager should have more of a hand in promotions at a store level.

    Pros

It's not just about fashion. It's about making an impact while collectively working towards the same goal.

    Cons

Would love to be more proactive, versus reactive in my world.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and listen to the people who are working hard!
