I have been working at Old Navy

    Pros

Teamwork between coworkers, the sellebrity themselves, and management is great! Gap is also planning on increasing their hourly rate to $10 this year.

    Cons

Sometimes communication between managers and sales leaders is not that great. There is also a struggle between work/life valance during the holiday season that goes away during the off season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on assigning tasks to sellevrities as a team and not individuals, leading to better communication.

    Pros

Good pay, good offer of much-needed breaks. Also work well with busy schedules.

    Cons

Lots of standing for 7+ hours at a time, can get tiresome and boring when the day is slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My managers were all kind & understanding. Training was quick and they trusted me with big things- and I was only 16.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Working for Old Navy has been an amazing experience. Management is willing to work around schedules and very kind about any needed time off. I was quickly promoted to a "Cash Handler" which is in charge of closing money at the end of the night. Old Navy likes to hire within and is a great company to be with if you plan to advance from the bottom!

    Cons

Working with customer can always be difficult. You may need to switch around stores a lot of you plan to make it up the ranks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work hard to show you truly care about your employees!

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

My coworkers are very friendly and accepting, and I actually look forward to coming to work every day. It's overall a fun job, you see a lot of people, and get a lot of new experiences. The employee discount is awesome. My boss is the best - very understanding, and she is very flexible when it comes to scheduling.

    Cons

Customers can be difficult to deal with at times - trying to blame you for things out of your control such as coupons and sales. Also, it gets extremely boring when there are no customers around. But that's the same everywhere.
