    Pros

I find my coworkers to be happy and upbeat people. My boss is understanding of my schedule with school and always works with me when I have projects come up.

    Cons

You work pretty much every holiday but you have to expect that going into retail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish that coaches got paid for becoming coaches. What is the point of training someone for more responsibility and then not compensating them for it?

    Pros

They take care of their employees with employee discounts and appreciation.

    Cons

Retail. What do you expect? Holidays are difficult, but that's predictable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sit down with your employees individually as the holidays approach to discuss your needs, and our expectations.

    Pros

    Lenient scheduling. Friendly work environment.

    Cons

    Retail. Holiday is always difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to get evaluations from staff of in store managers. I had a particularly difficult manager. It didn't matter whether I tried to discuss issues, nothing changed. We need employee appreciation.

    I worked at Old Navy

    Pros

Old Navy is a wonderful company that treats their employees like family. One of the greatest parts of working at Old Navy was working with my incredible coworkers. It felt like a team. As a college student back home from her first year, it was great to have this experience. I learned a lot about customer service, working in teams, and working in a professional environment from my time there.

    Cons

Sales Associates are not often given the credit that they deserve. Many are young students, and are sometimes treated with less respect than they should. While I enjoyed working there, I do feel that the company should recognize the hard work and diverse backgrounds of their employees regardless of their position.

    I worked at Old Navy

    Pros

There are a lot opportunities to grow and move up with in the company. They value their employees and work with you so that together you can create the best environment possible. If you talk they listen.

    Cons

It is retail so the normal rules of combat apply. You only know your work schedule for the next week on Friday, if you are lucky.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All level 3 employees should receive the same benefits. It is unfair that Pricing Specialist get PTO and Merchandising Specialist do not, it should be all or none.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Relaxed, laid back setting. The strive by management to work hard and accurately is demonstrated in a respected manner. Very fast paced (especially on busy weekends), but it makes work go by quicker.

    Cons

More monetary incentives would be nice!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hover so much. Employees know what we're doing, and it's a bit annoying when every time I turn around someone seems to be watching.
