I have been working at Old Navy full-time

    Pros

Work across teams is fun. People respect each other's contribution to a job well done. Over-achievers who motivate you to be your best. The output of the teams is remarkable, and people are always so friendly and fun to work with. The people you work with and the output you create make your job worth it.

    Cons

Leadership calls all the shots and disregards your input. They have no respect for how much work and time you put into your job to be successful and they continue to ask for more. They have their hands on every detail up to the last minute, creating added work. It's not sustainable management.

    Advice to Management

Respect balance. Don't be afraid to trust your team and let them handle responsibilities. Giving accolades for hard work gets old when you just keep asking for more. Try taking action to show your team members you appreciate what they do for the company. HIRE MORE PEOPLE!

    Pros

Great job for students looking to work part time. Very easy to learn everything. Interview and application process was easy and short. Every store I've worked at has had a great management team that becomes friends. Also have a great employee discount that is good at Banana Republic and Gap too.

    Cons

Hours can be low depending on how business is going.

I worked at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, relaxed work environment. Typical retail scenario, shifts and work stations are used. Generally nice customers, although sometimes you will encounter a bad egg.

    Cons

It's retail. As a sales associate you are essentially the grunt of the store, until you prove yourself to be a valuable employee. Expect a lot of folding, recovering, refolding, and re-stocking. So, it can get boring at times. You'll probably make minimum wage, but if you're a high school student like I was, then it's not a bad gig at all.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work
