I worked at Old Navy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good discounts for family, decent clothes, somewhat flexible hours, blah blah blah Yada Yada Yada keep going !

    Cons

Too many to mention. Long hours, low labor hours available for staff. Too many specifications that make no sense.

    Advice to Management

Micromanaging works sometimes, but get real!! Can't get behind Corp initiatives that basically make you work harder for the same pay.

I worked at Old Navy (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Discount on already cheap clothes

    Cons

Absolutely zero work/life balance. Employees/managers asked to do too much and not given resources to get the job done. Company doesn't show appreciation towards people who work their tails off, and there is constant drama among higher ups.

    Advice to Management

Maybe invest in your managers and promote a strong work/life balance. Most managers current and former HATED working for the company, but felt like they couldn't leave because of the decent amount of pay. They felt like it controlled their entire life. Managers are given an enormous amount of things to do but not given the appropriate resources to complete them and then the managers are written up because the store manager is written up because they can't get their crap together. Just seems like there is a disconnect between what old navy says they do and what is actually happening. There's no teamwork throughout the company at all, everyone is pretty much on their own.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

flexible schedule, benefits if you qualified

    Cons

posted jobs availiable, those employed don't get any hours, always subject to have hours cut, everyone wants hours, however don't get a regular hours or stable hours, employees get discouraged and leave

    Advice to Management

keep those employed working, spend alot of effort and hours moving the same old stuff around, get rid of the Firefox system it's craps out too often, the IRT's in the stores don't work half the time or loses connection, get some decent IT people, they have been in to fix the routers numerous times and it stiil fails, stopped sending a bunch of stuff we don't need if we have hundreds on hand, why send more, your warehouse employees don't care they just throw it in a box and send, a big watted mess

Need to clean house and hire someone who spends time and cares about what he's doing
