I worked at Old Navy part-time

    Pros

Easy work for each of the tasks. The friendship with employees is also a bonus. The employee discounts from Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Gap are excellent though.

    Cons

Very very stringent on meeting quotas. Yes, it is a business but there is a very big disconnect for employees when we are treated and conditioned to mindlessly try to open extortionate credit cards to families who could not afford it with the premise of getting a small discount.

    Advice to Management

Have a close relationship with employees. Treat them as humans with emotions and desires rather than clones who are all expected to achieve a store quota.

  2. So far, so good.

    Pros

For the most part, good people.

    Cons

Lack of collaboration cross-functionally. Fear of leadership - fear of consequences.

    Advice to Management

    Trust your people.

    Pros

Great team, great discount, fashion forward. I learned a lot about managing others and business acumen from upper management.

    Cons

Not too much to say except that in my time there, we went through quite a few DM's. Once you learned what was expected by one, we would get a new one.
