    Pros

The connections you make with the associates. Management team empowers you to make choices and decisions on your own. Power of one is this companies best asset and they do not micro manage you. Great offers to stay at other Omni hotels.

    Cons

Unpolished, training on a department level was very unsettling for a company its size. On an HR level was almost sad I've never been to company trainings where people were reading the power point or from a paper. They do not like hearing constructive comments and rely heavily on their demographic to carry them in high ratings. Upper management doesn't act on concerns until you have your department review on employee satisfaction. HR sides with upper management without ever investigating or looking into valid concerns. They've let good people go because of lack of good compensation and ability hire more staffing. Everyone is over worked and burnt out and they refuse to hire more people. They look for anyway to cut hours and always had one person staffing a desk even on fully committed nights where staffing was essential. Upper management at times were expected to be glorified front desk agents and expected to fill in for the insufficient staffing. The level of professionalism was almost a joke incorrect verbiage with guests constantly used, and no sound understanding of diamond standards and service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update training material, and consistency with process and hold individuals accountable!

    I worked at Omni Hotels

    Pros

The best I would say is our employee discount hotel rate.

    Cons

The benefits are very expensive. For a single person, non-smoker, basic coverage I pay $97/wk!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to practice what you preach. When an employee dedicates their life to the company and believes in the company, there is nothing worse when one needs them the most, they let you down.

    Pros

Discount to hotel. Distance bk/forth to work

    Cons

The management staff is very unfair, very unprofessional! They brake the rules within themselves to benefit them. Its all who you know at this place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show a little bit more support to your loyal employees. Be FAIR. Rules should be for ALL employees!

Great place to gain hospitality experience.

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good work atmosphere, most of the people I worked with were cool and easy to get along with. Employee discounted rates were a nice benefit. Great location to where I lived, I could easily walk to work everyday.

    Cons

Poor organization, lack of team work and fairness from the upper management. Over worked and under paid. Only eligible for yearly raises. The management has their favorites and it shows. If you are not liked you will be out of a job. The scheduling is horrible! Restrictive hours. Sometimes you would be expected to work until 11 and be scheduled to come back at 6am. The management does not care about their employees (unless you are one of the favorites), they are most concerned about coverage from lack of staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate your employees, don't just treat them like a number.
