    Pros

The entire staff of the Omni Hotel is very supportive and helpful. The hours are crazy but they do their best to give you time off. They promote career growth and want you to succeed.

    Cons

A lot of the assistant managers are brand new and have never managed people before. You will work 13 days in a row when you're busy and have months off when it is slow.

This is a company with a clear vision of how important are their associates for the company success. It not all about the money, its about caring and Omni cares.

    Cons

Working in Omni is great. Working at the hotel with the highest Associates Engagement Survey score its even better. Hard to find cons.

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I had the pleasure of working with Omni for 4 years and found that I really like going into work everyday. The company is focused and driven, allowing for growth opportunities for those who want them. The highlight is the culture and feeling of being in a "family". Great job making it feel like more than just a job.

    Cons

Exponential growth could allow for some small things to get lost in the shuffle. And be sure salaries are correct for the given marketplace.

I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Lucrative location offerings, education programs for upward movement available (if you qualify), upscale hotel experience, strong company culture, internal promotions considered before external candidates, and a clear understanding of corporate's goals.

    Cons

Regardless of experience or education you will be given a low-ball offer, opportunity to grow is available so long as you can beat out the political atmosphere that is VERY much alive at the property level, Omni advertises itself as an industry leader, however, they do not price themselves as such to try and maximize their bottom line by pandering to the 3rd party market segment so you will see a number of nasty and volatile guests come through with unrealistic expectations who take advantage of the Power of One program by getting multiple comps per complaint which adds unnecessary stress to the associates and front line managers, the work-life balance for managers is a joke with some front line managers working 55-60+ hours a week to keep up with business demands in areas that are purposefully low-staffed so, again, the hotel can watch it's bottom line by cutting back on labor dollars while taking full advantage of it's underpaid salaried managers.

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers feel like family and that's what makes it fun

    Cons

    Low pay, overworked, poor leadership

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your managers to be professionals, especially those with proven track record of being manipulative, such as using another emplyee's log in credentials to change data in Delphi. Stop worrying about painting a pretty picture for your property. If a company has a staff meeting that requires all managers to post a good review on glassdoor.com, then that shows you are trying to seem better than you are. Fix your priorities.
