I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to move up... empowering company with amazing staffing

    Cons

Pay could probably be a little higher but who wouldn't say that

    Advice to Management

Make big decisions like those concerning remodels slightly faster!

    Pros

Omni resorts offer a great benefit package and enjoyable atmosphere. It was a joy to work for this company, and would recommend it to anyone

    Cons

None that I can think of

I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay and compensation is comparable with other hotels in the city; the benefits are in line with most markets and the general attitude and work behavior of the other managers is very enjoyable.

    Cons

Does not offer parking within the hotel but off-site at satelite location; lots of part-time or contract associates so there is little command and control

    Advice to Management

Continue to motivate, inspire and reward the leadership for the job they are doing.

    Pros

Great company culture. Lots of development opportunities throughout the brand.

    Cons

Don't really have any con's to list. I really enjoy working for this company.

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Free food from in room dining -That's about it

    Cons

-Favoritism -Felt like I was back in high school with gossiping, drama, and of course the “popular” people. -Managers feed off of the drama and mostly the ones causing it -Employee schedule system stinks and it is hard to have a for sure answer if you can go on a vacation or not -Department was always short staffed and management forced employees to work 50+ hours a week and did not help out. -Not a safe environment, no one has proper training or understands protocol for simple things like a fire alarm.

    Advice to Management

When your team has experience and actually have degrees take their feedback instead of only listening to your inner circle. You only have omni experience and there is always room for change

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supportive, Fun, Always different which kept it interesting. The people are great. It is really a no non-sense kind of place which is great compared to some places I have worked.

    Cons

Salary is very low, Schedule can get a little wacky at times but I think it does with just about any job.

    Advice to Management

The only advice I would have is to increase salaries. The teams that work there are very dedicated and hard working. I enjoyed every minute I was there but couldn't stay because of the salary.

I have been working at Omni Hotels part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free Golf and an employee discount. A view into the service industry as to why you should go to college.

    Cons

Minimal pay coupled with disrespectful guests makes it feel more like slavery than a job.

    Advice to Management

Worry less about profit off employees and more about keeping the "house" happy from the inside out
