    Pros

    Compensation is great, especially for a recent graduate. I was extremely surprised when they offered me what they did.

    Cons

    Training is minimal, not much room for growth withing the company, and everyone is extremely competitive.

    Pros

    Big company if you like that. Health benefits are good. They pay for parking in downtown Cincy if you work at HQ. Depending on your management, there's a chance for you to move departments to find what you want to be when you grow up.

    Cons

    Pay is below average. Dealing with the stigma Omnicare has built for itself. Layoffs about once a year, with everyone left to pick up all the slack with no appreciation, help, acknowledgement, support. Very underwhelming recognition for accomplishments, job well done, working hard, going above and beyond. Communication stinks at all levels. Processes are pathetic for such a large company. Raises are sad. Omnicare consistently succeeds despite itself. It's all very typical large corporate company stuff...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication. Better feedback...how are we supposed to do our jobs and how will we know when we've done a good job or not? Better recognition. Even if things aren't going well...say so, acknowledge it.

    Good scheduling. The place looks relatively nice. New, and I think the company is taking over all those small consultant places. Growing company.

    Cons

    Too many cliques. I worked here very temporarily and it was j.ust something I wanted to leave right away. So difficult process just to get hired.

    I enjoyed working at Omnicare. I learned a lot about this job. Omnicare was very helpful in all areas of testing.

    The benefits were on average with other companies. Paid time off was adequate and they were very accommodating with emergency time off.

    Cons

    The challenges of working there were , lack of promotion availability, unless you were a personal friend of management.

    listen to all employees and their suggestions not just the opinions of friends

    Flexible hours. Local recognition of hard work.

    Cons

    Typical corporate America. Local level pharmacy has a team environment but corporate doesn't care about you. 67 account executives were let go via conference call without any notification to manager or general manager of pharmacy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    While I understand you may want to go in a different direction, don't forget about the customers we serve. Getting away from patient care and focusing on script count and cutting employees will not spell success for this company.

    Pros

    The positive working for Omnicare / Advanced Care Scripts provides the ability to learn in the health industry. Having the opportunities to help different patients on numerous different levels.

    Cons

    The Hourly rate for Customer Service representatives could be better. Especially when the representatives consistently have to learn about new medications, processes, protocols, insurance plans, co-pay assistance programs. Working for a company who understands or knows the worth of their customer service representatives could or would make office moral better.

    Just take a look at everything Customer Service Representatives have to learn in order to present the Core Values of Omnicare.
