    Cons

It's a lot of work but it's not hard work at all.

I worked at Once Upon A Child full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

They worked wonders around my schedule, and when I had personal emergency. They give you a nice employee discount. Also made great friends during my time there.

    Cons

You go through crazy busy times and are required to stay late no matter what time that may be. Was short staffed many of the times and you don't get paid the adequate amount for the work you put in. It operates like a small business would since it's individually owned, so even if your there for close to ten years you're not being paid like you would be other places.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't require people to be there extremely late into the evening after they have been there all day. Also show more appreciation for longer lasting employees.

I have been working at Once Upon A Child full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very easy to get hired (are you breathing? Hired!), Very easy to get promoted. Free reign to create your own displays

    Cons

Very low wages and no benefits offered. Germs are everywhere because customers don't clean items before they bring them in to sell.

I was hired in at minimum wage and promoted with a month to a manager. I was only making $11/hour as a manger!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to interview and hire good candidates, not the first person that walks through the door. Many of your workers are parents, offer better wages and benefits.

I have been working at Once Upon A Child

    Pros

No experience, nothing really to be honest. People here don't really want to move up in the world. Some people have been working there for 20 years

    Cons

    Pay
    Hours
    Management
No way to move up but to work full time for at least a year.
No benefits at all. The company rather pay the fee for not giving you benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop playing favorites and work around hours given to the company.

I worked at Once Upon A Child full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Easy work. Pretty Good boss. Good pay and hours for the most part although weekends are necessary. Fast paced work environment. Sort through clothing. Hanging and Tagging. Rack Maintenance.

    Cons

Got sick all the time from the germs on the products. Catty employees. Long hours on your feet although you can wear gym shoes which make it more comfortable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think there should be more incentives for picking certain items that are in high demand. In this store, the customer ISNT always right and we shouldn't accept their items just to make them happy. I saw that happen on more than one occasion.
