Pros
base pay, decent benefits but you still have to pay for insurance
Cons
low salary, old school management style, always expecting more results (what have you done for me lately)
Advice to Senior Management
treat employees better, give them better salaries, and do not constantly harp on what needs to be done and not give praise for what has been completed
Pros
Good medical benefits, mmm, the internal training is fair, they employ a system of modular online self paced units for learning but allow little time to complete. Most branches are understaffed so you can generally "hit your numbers."
Cons
Low pay, few opportunities, high pressure sales tactics, mid-level managers encourage lax compliance to meet numbers, branches continue to close, one step above a payday loan company.
Advice to Senior Management
Nothing is held in confidence. They don't want any critical advice but love to dish it out. Mary McDowell is just a puppet of CitiGroup, don't blame her. Call your favorite Headhunter without delay.
Pros
Benefits are good, pay is reasonable
Cons
There are many! Hate the xsell system which is what everthing is based on now! Didn't this company learn anything from the financial downfall!
Advice to Senior Management
Get in touch with what actually goes on in a branch!
Pros
Good benefits, good starter job
Cons
No room for growth, products offered border on predatory lending, company is for sale and bleeding money, Citi Group has no interest in investing in One Main Financial aka CitiFinancial.
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
great benefits and flexible hours
Cons
low pay and advancement is questionable
Advice to Senior Management
work on turnover rate and starting pay. doesn't make sense to keep training new people when you can just make quality long term associates that are willing to grow with the company
Pros
The people. We were all in it together, which didn't necessarily help.
Cons
Working for a borderline predatory lender was not my idea of fun, nor was it an organization I could say unequivocally was a place I was PROUD to work. Did what I had to do for my family while trying to maintain my integrity. Wasn't easy.
Advice to Senior Management
Institute an employee rotation program to enable employees to grow and contribute to the organization without pigeon holding them into dead end roles.
Pros
its a great company, has a very challenging environment with best set of professionals in the team ,
citifinancial recoginises its employee's on merits,
quaterly sip incentives based on performance are good
Cons
overall i was satisfied with my tenure in citifinancial, well lately the yearly increments were less but then overall financial sector was not doing well due to recession, again compared to the industry, increments were good enough.
Pros
Flexible hours, multiple locations, good people
Cons
management doesn't know what they are doing
Pros
Cheap decent benefits
... and that's it
Cons
Horrible business strategies
Horrible products
Drink the kool aid mentality
Managers aren't educated or experienced
Little opportunity for growth
Advice to Senior Management
Find a new business endeavor rather than trying to stick people in to perpetual debt for eternity.
Pros
well known company, decent benefits
Cons
every man for himself. trust no one. complete lack of integrity towards customers.
