Former Employee – worked at Onward Healthcare full-time for less than a year
Pros – OH is an entrepreneurial environment which is great for those ambitious career starters. If you get along with the right people and you prove strong abilites to upper management, you can get exposure to a lot of work that may not be available in a larger corporate hierarchy. Job secruity is dictated my monthly numbers as most of the workforce comes from the sales division. While OH has a revolving door reputation, it's a very goal-oriented environment and your job is safe as long as you show progress.
Cons – They payscale and room for advancement is lacking. While you may take on a more advanced job role at an early stage in your career, you may not be paid appropriately for those responsibilities or recognized in title. There is a lot of repetitive work at all levels, and you can easily feel trapped in the same old, same old. Flexibility is hard to find; if you have to leave early or arrive late that's fine as long as you work 8 hours everyday. It's difficult to take off from work but overtime is usually not required.
Advice to Senior Management – The biggest piece of advice to senior management would be to adjust the payscale. It is difficult to retain top talent without appropriate compensation, and it is difficult to obtain top talent with low base salaries as well. Also, there must be more conservative investments made that benefit the future rather than impulse business ventures that dissipate quickly.

Former Employee – worked at Onward Healthcare as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – There are no pros to working with this company. The recruiters are very ambiguous and promise salaries that are not inherent in the contract.
Cons – Prospective employees should read their contracts prior to accepting employment , or better yet get legal advice. Since i have a legal background, I was able to adequately comprehend and understand the contract. This contract protects management and leaves the employee hanging without any safe guards. It also includes a clause which says that the Onward can change your compensation package at will and does not have to notify the employee. The H_ll you will. I refused to sign and am glad that I took the time to read it.
Advice to Senior Management – Onward executives should pay therapists and other employees their value and not try to put them into contracts which devalue their intelligence.

Former Employee – worked at Onward Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – A flexible but often intense atmosphere, with a lot going on and lots of creative freedom. A solid focus on the bottom line, but also an adherence to quality standards. Lots of fun to be had if you're a successful recruiter.
The company has been growing like crazy lately, and branching out into new areas. It's very exciting, and there's been lots of promotions as things begin to become profitable and pick up speed. That's very exciting!
Cons – Deadlines are solid things -- sometimes it's a scramble to get 'er done in time. And while things seem to run organized and smoothly, sometimes it's like magic -- there's so much going on you don't know how management keeps track of it. The company is moving and shaking, and you've gotta be ready for the upheavals and everything that goes with it.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Onward Healthcare full-time for more than a year
Pros – Sounds good on a resume, it's somewhere to start a career right out of college.
Cons – Lay offs are very frequent, unorganized company making it an extremely stressful enviroment to work in, forget about overtime, if you miss high school its a perfect place to work because of all the gossip and cliques and unless you're upper management you're expendable!

Former Employee – worked at Onward Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good corporate structure.
Has an entrepreneurial attitude.
Cons – Corporate management seems secretive about things.
Can be a bit of a clique - if you're not one of the "cool kids" your opinions don't matter.
Advice to Senior Management – If you provide office management with a complete picture of the finances of the company (and their office specifically) - you will empower them to make prudent decisions and ultimately have happier employees.
