Former Employee – worked at Onyx Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great potential if you can weed through the politics, backstabbing and incompetence. The company knows it has work to do to improve but they drag their feet in getting it done. Meantime, employees who are strong contributors are undervalued and not appreciated.
Cons – Management wavers on making decisions and lets their admins do whatever they want including harassing colleagues. The admins try to boss people around and forget what their role is, but that's ultimately managements fault for not having control.
Advice to Senior Management – Remember who's the manager and try to listen to both sides of the story before passing judgement on colleagues.

Current Employee – been working at Onyx Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good intentions but decisions seem to be made by a select few. It is a very hierarchical company.
Cons – If you are looking for a position in data management, prepare to be taken back to the dark ages. Sadly there is a lack of leadership and strategy.. For those of us who truly buy into company values, it is very disappointing to not see those values being expressed w/in a department. We are constantly reminded that we are replaceable .
Advice to Senior Management – Try and be forward thinking

Current Employee – been working at Onyx Pharmaceuticals full-time for less than a year
Pros – The total comp package is well worth driving to SSF. Every day I learn about something else that just becomes an added perq. My co-workers are dedicated and hard working and people I can learn from. The interview and recruiting process was hands down the best I've ever experienced.
Cons – Traffic home can sometimes take long, but with flexible work schedules and a pre-tax commuter benefit I can change that. Just takes flexibility and change on my part.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up! Great job.
