I had a great time working for Ooredoo

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Ooredoo full-time for more than 3 years

ProsCompensation was very competitive. They are actively investing in operations, so you get lots of support on the local level for investment.

ConsSome people at Group are severly overpaid for what they contribute. They have created a central beuracracy that can slow operational decisions down

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't second guess every operational decision. Hire people you trust, give them authority, and hold them accountable.

I have been working at Ooredoo full-time for more than 8 years

ProsGreat Company to work for, very multicultural and knowledgeable task force.

ConsWatch out for Local Managers who have no idea about their jobs but get them because of Country requirement and because who knows who.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to Appoint Managers who are educated and knowledgeable about their areas of work. Politics has to be controlled and encouraging locals professionally is required not financially. Money makes people stay but over a period of time it wears of to real professionals. Prospects for growth is very limited and even if one comes personal favors and kissing up has to be done to immediate managers jt toge a release.
