“Oracle is for the most part paralysed by the faceless drones that prevent successful completion of work.”
Current Employee – been working at Oracle
Pros – Pay is decent.
Benefits package is comparable to most large corporations.
No real office to report to, high degree of mobility in the workplace, with regards to location.
Matched retirement contributions, without requirement for vestment.
Cons – My biggest complaint with Oracle is the way in which competition is promoted within the organization, departments are forced to compete over the same table scraps. If we could find a better way to foster inter-team cooperation, there is certainly enough business to go around.
Advice to Senior Management – Give some power to individuals down the chain. If you would give the folks the support they need, they will treat the business like it is there own and be more likely to assist in the success of the overall organization.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
