    Too big to work

Principal Applications Engineer (Current Employee) Bozeman, MT

ProsAccess to all of the Oracle tools and hardware. Decent healthcare and dental.

ConsToo big. To get anything done takes forever. Half the people on the organization are from India and are hard to understand. Anyone leaving in the US is replaced by two in India

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of all the stupid titles and settle on some sort of decent levels for software engineers and make it clear how one can get promoted

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

ConsRun as a business with focus on the bottom line. This actually minimizes your risk for any negative surprises.

    Senior software engineer

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Santa Clara, CA

ProsJob stability, health benefits, amenities like access to gym, 401k, ESPP

ConsNot many other perks other than the standard. Your salary is what you get. No bonus or not much. Only 5% get the bonus.
At individual contributor level, not much chance for innovation
    Not employee friendly

Advice to Senior ManagementCompany is making money. Mgmt is doing a good job on that front.

Great work, stifling HR and processes

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThis is specific to my group:
    - Very little micro managing and freedom to make decisions
    - Interesting challenges and high tech work

Cons- HR rules with iron fist on all things related to promotions, salaries, raises etc.
    - Growth within company is very old fashioned, more by years rather than potential or capability
    - The company as a whole does not innovate much, just buys companies that make good products and squeezes out the moneys worth

    Look for opportunities elsewhere

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThere is a lot of talent with diverse skill sets in the engineering disciplines.

ConsThis is a very difficult place to work. It reminds me of the great industrial age where to executives get too many bonuses and high salaries and the REAL contributors get minimal compensation.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
