stable job good work culture used to give good pay rises however not so good now. technology company hence good for tech savvy people

top down management, very difficult to change things, no idea what is going on in other teams and little communication inspite of frequest visits by US team mates

need to implement bottom up approach to see how to make teams handle theri own requirements instead of pushing hte requirements from top

Don't get continuous feedback. If a employee is doing good he is overloaded.

Nothing much. I am very much satisfied with Oracle. No other company can match it in terms of Learning opportunities and WorkLifeBalance.
Advice to Senior Management
(1) Please sponsor Higher education like MBA to your employees instead of saving your CostCenter money. If required, introduce Bond for the associates whoever wish to avail that sponsorship.
(2) Introduce evening free-snacks in cafeteria and GreenTea in Lobby/Bay areas.

work is not that hectic, 9 to 5 job with some calls in the evening with US team

Its good to be process friendly, but most of your people oriented efforts are stuck in processes.

Absolute lack of understanding of team mates' skills and experience by Project Managers, Team Leads, Competency Managers
Unfair job appraisals
Appropriate team mix in terms of experience is not paid attention by management
Most of the employees' real time experience
Casteism, groupism, regionalism and many other differences exists in the employees

Ensure that Fair, correct and effective appraisal are done
Management be proactive in finding the problems creeping up in various projects
Resource Management System needs to be revamped to bring in serious, responsible, committed employees
