I worked at Oracle full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible work and good work balance

    Cons

No Hikes, No proper bonus, there are lot of managers, directors and VP's. In oracle even 8 years experience guy can become senior manager, they compensate good performer through promotion than salary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have sensible ratio of managers or directors or VP's to employees. I used to work close to cafeteria most so called management guys used loiter for hours.

I have been working at Oracle full-time

    Pros

While Oracle is new to the CX space and still has some challenges to overcome, they are committed to being the best in the space. You get to be around some great products and if you can do well at Oracle its one of the best places to work.

    Cons

You are a little fish in an ENORMOUS pond. There are people at Oracle who feast, and they are those who are starving and unfortunately that doesn't always have to do with skill, it has to do with luck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Create more balanced patches.

    I worked at Oracle full-time

    Pros

Oracle is a huge company. So office culture differs for every segment. Even inside a business unit(name for a segment in Oracle), the team culture largely depends on manager. Main advantage I see is the choice to work from home.

    Cons

Oracle was conservative when it came to employee benefits and perks. Also, things like bonus or salary hike or promotion was relatively average as compared to other companies.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Working environment is comfortable and friendly. There are many technologies that you can get exposed to. Management seems to encourage innovative ideas as long as they add values to the business.

    Cons

In fire-drill mode often. heavy processes on every aspect of development can they seem to be enforced at any time management feels like. Cross team development initiatives are always on the aggressive side which cause teams to cut corners but still miss the deadlines.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

A lot of things depend on which team you work with. Products with higher visibility and impact tend to have teams with lots of smart people in it. How much you learn, what you work on depends on how much you are willing to work.

    Cons

Change to product lines comes slowly only. This in turn affects what you work on and how much you learn.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO
