I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Where you Work at Oracle (what division and team) is critical to your experience AS WELL as your manager. Some divisions are better to work for than others but it is critical you interview with your would-be manager and get a good idea what he/she is about and their expectations. One of the best things is that the benefits are some of the best I have seen in 15 years.

    Cons

    >A lot of "resting and vesting" - You will hear about the "80/20" real at Oracle. 20% of the people are doing 80% of the work while the other 80% are on a near permanent vacation.
    >Difficult to work between departments
    >Old, outdated computers/networking make it hard to keep up with more nimble companies using Saas-based working platforms
    >No bonuses
    >Difficult to move up unless you know the right people

    Pros

Great perks, especially for a recent college graduate
    Good salary
    Looks good on resume

    Cons

They appear to exclusively hire people from the Greek system in terms of the recent college graduate pool.
    Really push sales

    Pros

Great benefits, matching 401K, unlimited sick days separate from vacation, great clients

    Cons

Lower compensation than other companies, not a great company morale, self-service is a pain and doesn't get anything done, even if urgent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

training, building company morale, fair compensation, and more room to grow within the company

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Flexible Schedule
    Pretty good benefits
    WFH is OK

    Cons

No income growth, no career growth, no profit sharing or yearly benefits.
Huge management chain, so any decision should go via a long chain of approval.
Employee will have a feeling that nobody cares about him, that actually true.
HR / high management position- if you do not like something just go - we will find somebody overseas to replace you. There is a reason for workforce constant deterioration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop buying new companies; concentrate on your own employees. They are human! Make them to be proud for the company they are working for.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Job autonomy, workplace flexibility, variety of work, quality of co-workers, total compensation

    Cons

Executive management continues to reduce benefits (i.e. loss of car allowance), infrequent pay raises (only 1 in 10 years).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While Oracle is a good place to work, executive management is very highly compensated, yet individual contributors are rarely given raises and continue to have perks reduced. Consider stock option awards, as the younger companies continue to offer this even to the individual contributors. We continue to lose some of our best people to other companies due to a perception that many are replaceable.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

A lot of things depend on which team you work with. Products with higher visibility and impact tend to have teams with lots of smart people in it. How much you learn, what you work on depends on how much you are willing to work.

    Cons

Change to product lines comes slowly only. This in turn affects what you work on and how much you learn.
