    Pros

Good brand name and a ton of resources and training available to you at all times. A lot of mobility and opportunities (cross-departmentally).

    Cons

Fairly rigid culture and a lack of focus on individual contribution. Compensation structure makes it difficult to achieve your ote, even when you are hitting quota.

I worked at Oracle full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid company, leading in the industry product, great training and can easily move up the chain. Very competitive pay and great benefits to be had

    Cons

If you live in SF, the drive to work can be quite cumbersome. I did not have a micromanager but there a few of them there that can make work/life balance not the easiest.

    Advice to Management

If the account executive is struggling, work with him or her on ways to get back on track instead of ingnoring them. Also, some people have terrible territories but crush the phones and get unnoticed.

I worked at Oracle (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and that's about it.

    Cons

Too many to list! How about they change your comp plan and pay you out and then change it back and illegally retro it back to the beginning of the year and have you pay it all back. Then management tells you to consider it an interest free loan. The finance comp people say its not their problem and HR is useless. Who does that? Oh Oracle does and that's when you sell their outdated products. And then they replace you with college hires for half that price and they leave after a year and they go after their signing bonus's. Shady place! All the quota earners were pushed out. Great sales management!

    Advice to Management

Stop being shady! You have the $ hire some seasoned people and stop promoting the but kissers and actually look at the ones that care and are doing their jobs. And if they hit their quota you might want to keep them and not push them out and keep the ones that do nothing. How that makes sense I have no idea.
